It's like Enigma's world view is so narrow he can't see that the US did a lot of damage to the middle east and that perhaps there is a lot of people who had relatives/friends/family killed by US attacks on the middle east and that maybe it's been happening so long that, culturally there is at the very least distrust or skepticism of Americans.

Cause I can tell you right f---ing now Australian Muslims have an awful lot to say about how pig headed and racist Americans are, even compared to Australians. I'd say at least half of the muslims I know f---ing hate you Americans. I even know a Syrian who openly is racist/hateful toward people with an american accent, due to members of his family being bombed by what he beleives to be american airstrikes. he'll shout "get the f--- out of this country u scum c----" at them. like there is a lot of hate towards america from those cultures, not sure if you heard or not lmao.

Yes, there were rumors & some reports of small pockets of individuals celebrating. None of these stories could be corroborated. Even if they’re true, these reports refer to dozens, 20-30 people. Trump claims he saw thousands celebrating on national television which no news outlet could verify or find a clip of.

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...hecking-trumps-claim-thousands-new-jersey-ch/

Well yeah, he had to water it down repeatedly for the courts. This ban is still stuck in the judicial system as we speak even after like 3 or 4 versions of it have been written. His comments during the election made it clear he wanted a “Muslim ban.” Those were his words.

Of course there are terrorist acts being planned. There’s ALWAYS risk in life. Stepping out of your house is a risk. Driving is a risk. We all take risks every day but do it because who wants to live in constant fear? You guys want to lecture me about the world lol but that’s reality. If the risk is minuscule there’s no reason to take these ridiculous measures in name of “national security” when in really, these policies aren’t making us anymore safer.

Citizens who are radicalized or individuals who came here as kids & were radicalized when they got older is a separate issue. That has to do with online propaganda not with refugees or people who come here for a better life.

i don't actually care, was just pointing out my first result upon searching that and you pretty much said what I already read in the article.

yeah he wanted a muslim ban, so he tried to ban 2 non-muslim majority countries and 7 other muslim-majority countries, but not the largest muslim countries? f---ing mental gymnastics whew!

Also typical Enigma, addresses the 1 or 2 points he thinks he can refute, but ignores the
nice attempt at trying to ignore me, then getting triggered enough to respond 2 posts later.

Right. He couldn’t just sign an executive order banning Muslims. An order with language like that would have gotten struck down immediately by the courts. Trump’s team knew that so they tried to dress it up as much they could to make it look like it wasn’t targeting a particular group of people. The most recent one I think they even threw N. Korea in there. So far, it hasn’t worked & one of the reasons for that is because of trump’s language during the campaign in which multiple judges have used against him in their rulings. They’ve done a poor job of framing this as national security matter because there’s little statistical evidence that supports that notion. A travel ban isn’t making Americans safer.

P.S. that secret society text was said in jest. Even senator Ron Johnson backed off on his claims:

Did you even bother to watch the video, or did you just copy and paste CNN's extremely misleading headline “Sen. Johnson backs off 'secret society' claim”? The senator was asked if the text was said in jest. Since he didn't send the text and he's presumably not a mind reader, it would be inappropriate, if not irresponsible, for him to answer yes (or no), hence his noncommittal answer. He didn't back off anything because he never gave his opinion. Even if you try to spin it in favor of your political bias, "It's a real possibility (it was said in jest)” logically implies, in any reading, that it's also possible it was not said in jest. You and logic have issues mate.

Going from, "Corruption of the highest levels of the FBI. The secret society -- we have an informant talking about a group that was holding secret meetings off-site." to "It's a real possibility [text was a joke]” is a huge leap lol. This guy was sounding off the alarms as if he uncovered the biggest scandal in US History only to come out a few days later & state it could have been a joke lol. He backed off more than just a bit.

Also, this is classic Sean Hannity lmfao:

You're the one leaping here. You said the text was a joke as if that had been corroborated, when Ron Johnson just acknowledged the possibility. Without contradicting himself he could just as well have followed up with “but I doubt it.” Again, answering yes or no would not have been proper.

I don't know why you're so quick to dismiss the idea of corruption or political bias within the FBI. Even Mueller fired Strzok over his anti-Trump views.

Besides, Johnson was asked about the “secret society” reference specifically, not about general corruption. He may be less sure that the texter was using the term in its literal sense:

A secret society is a club or an organization whose activities, events, inner functioning, or membership are concealed from non-members. The society may or may not attempt to conceal its existence. The term usually excludes covert groups, such as intelligence agencies or guerrilla insurgencies, that hide their activities and memberships but maintain a public presence. The exact qualifications for labeling a group as a secret society are disputed, but definitions generally rely on the degree to which the organization insists on secrecy, and might involve the retention and transmission of secret knowledge, the denial about membership or knowledge of the group, the creation of personal bonds between members of the organization, and the use of secret rites or rituals which solidify members of the group.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_society

    Possibly hyperbole?
I don't care about Sean Hannity but he was misquoted. He said Trump has the right to raise questions about conflict of interest.

Why would someone go on national television, accuse the FBI of having some “secret society” based on a text message & then when the text message is released to the public, state “it could have been a joke.” If you even thought for a second, that text could have been a joke, why would make an accusation that large based on a text? Johnson got caught with his d-ck out, plain & simple.

I don’t know how shep smith can interact with his colleagues after doing a segment like this:

They’re the ones pushing this nonsense.

It doesn't matter what he thinks. This is not about some senator's opinion and it's not about Fox News pushing propaganda. Stop dodging the real issue:

You guys reckon Trump will get a second term? He's done more damage than good and for the most part failed to deliver his promises which in theory should alienate his supporters. But it seems Trump supporterS' primary concern is to oppose democrats and liberals so they'll always find excuses for Trump. But at the same time the Democrats seem to just be spinning in circles and they were weak enough to lose to Trump in the first place regardless of any russian interference so idk

If he makes it to the end of his first term, it depends who Dems have leading their ticket. If conventional wisdom holds up & trump maintains these low approval ratings throughout his entire first term, he shouldn’t even win the republican nomination again. Also, assuming he runs again, he can’t play the whole “political outsider” card. He’ll have a resumè that will be endlessly critiqued. Again though, trump has defied odds before so who knows. It’s too far out to speculate tbh. So much can happen between now & 2020.

Well, he just dropped everyone's taxes by a substantial margin. After tax time I guarantee a lot of people will no longer care about this Russia bs and his approval will tick up a bit. His low approval doesn't matter anyway though. You think the Democrats are doing any better? They're doing worse and they have no platform. If Trump decides to run in 2020 he'll almost certainly win absent some major scandal or something. So far though he's pretty high on the list of people who are relatively scandal free for the first year and is actually making a concerted effort to fulfill his campaign promises.
