It might not be his strong suit, but I'd take a Trump over a Clintonion foreign policy any day. Aside from (unfortunately) maintaining a low-burning presence in Afghanistan, at least he's kept us out of wars, for now.
So I was right. You'd rather have Bush as president in 2018. This just proves my point further that neocons and neoliberals are the same thing. Look at you defending the indefensible. Look at this selective amnesia you've developed. Have you forgotten about Hurricane Katrina?

They were awful. Bush was widely regarded as the worst president in modern U.S. history until Trump popped up. His approval ratings have gone up substantially since Trump’s election which is very concerning to say the least. Americans have a tendency to live in the now & forget about the past.

What are you rambling about now? I never said I’d rather have bush as president in 2018. Also, you do realize Trump originally supported the invasion of Iraq, right?

No need to lie. It's too obvious that the only reason you're giving him the benefit of the doubt is because he's pro-immigration and on many other issues sounds a lot like the neoliberals you support. No way you'd be chalking up his war crimes to naivete if he were espousing populist views a la Trump's.
On the Howard Stern interview where all he initially said was "I guess so"? Obviously he hadn't yet thought it through and was just going along with conventional wisdom. This is in stark contrast to, once again, Hillary Clinton, being the war-hungry minotaur that she is, voting for the Iraq war with unbridled enthusiasm.

Yes, because when Donald Trump thinks things through, he always comes to rational conclusions lol. Trump not only stated “I guess so” when asked if the U.S. should invade Iraq but in 03 he said Bush was doing a “very good job.” Trump didn’t come out against war until mid way through 2004. Nonetheless, you will continue to make excuses for the guy & I’ll be labeled the partisan one lol.

In 2003 he had clear reservations about the war, and said that the economy was a bigger issue. Jan ‘03:

Who are you making excuses for? Oh yeah:

This is less so reservations about the war & more so criticism of bush’s indecisiveness. “You either do it or you don’t.” Once again, trump didn’t clearly come out against the war until mid way through 04, well after the invasion started.

I’m not making excuses for anyone. Clinton’s yes vote for the force resolution was a mistake. She’s said numerous times it was a mistake. Funny part is, you think Clinton voted yes because she was just so war hungry & wanted to go into Iraq just as much as Cheney & Bush lol. That’s not the case.

That's absolutely laughable given her appalling track record on foreign policy and her open support for one war after another over the years. She has just as much blood on her hands as Cheney and Bush (I thought the latter was just naive??). Whatever Trump supported or didn't support 15 years ago is a dead issue. What war crimes has he committed?

You should be banned from using the word partisan. Seriously gtfo lmao.

This guy really posted a 30 second YouTube video of cut up Clinton clips & you guys are drooling over it. Com’on enigma what @Sign Language? I clearly stated that clinton’s vote for the Iraq war was a mistake. While your buddy is over here making excuses for Donald Trump’s support for the war. But I’m the partisan one? Lol

Anyways, Clinton & numerous other congressmen (both democrats & republicans) voted for the war resolution because Bush reassured them that the vote was necessary leverage over Hussein in order to force him to allow U.N. inspectors finish their inspections. During the senate debate on the resolution to authorize force in Iraq in 2002, Clinton made these statements:

What do I know though right? This is just a tad bit of history but yes.... let’s believe the spacemonkey alt. Clinton was clearly blood thirsty & dying to invade Iraq.

Of course she'll say that now that the war is unpopular. Trump, I’m sure, also regrets lukewarmly supporting it at first. The major difference between these two people though is that one is a hawk who helped destroy Libya and the other ran on a non-interventionist foreign policy platform on which he has for the most part followed through. Therefore, I’m more inclined to give Trump the benefit of the doubt on supporting the Iraq war than I am Hillary Clinton, whereas you give her a pass for no other reason than that she’s a Democrat. There’s simply no getting around it, my friend: you meet the definition of a partisan to a T.

It’s funny you say that because every time I throw my hands up and swear I’m done with this guy for good he outdoes himself and says something so laughably and provably false I feel compelled to correct it. The way I see it is if I don’t do it then no one else will, since I guess everyone has given up on trying to reason with him.

You have to remember that you're talking to people who take Snopes and Politifact and the NYT seriously because they don't understand the concept of sampling bias. But even if we humored this illusion that Trump lies more than Obama ever did, it's still apples and oranges. It's still little white lies and garden-variety propaganda versus outright whoppers, even treasonous deceptions. Few people outside a scattering of bitter partisans in some echo chamber will remember Trump's comments about global warming or Ted Cruz's father as anything but ludicrous/hilarious, if they remember it at all, while Obama's lies regarding unconstitutional mass surveillance against Americans are deeply troubling to say the least.
