    From CNN's own clickbait article:

“The remarks, delivered inside the ballroom at his Mar-a-Lago estate during a lunch and fundraiser, were upbeat, lengthy, and peppered with jokes and laughter.”

But of course they couldn't resist inserting their usual propaganda:

“But Trump's words reflected his deeply felt resentment that his actions during the 2016 campaign remain under scrutiny while those of his former rival, Hillary Clinton, do not.”

This is not objective reporting, it's just someone's s-----y opinion. It's sensationalism. It's propaganda. Can't you see that?

I don't see how what he said is a "joke" apart from the "we should try it here sometime" which is obviously sarcasm in the sense that such a thing is unrealistic in the U.S. I think it's embarrassing for a U.S president to be heard showing admiration or praise for such a thing even if it was just a private light hearted conversation but I don't think it warrants being taken too seriously

Besides does this surprise anyone anyway? he already has publicly shown admiration for a number of "strong" modern authoritarian leaders and its clear he has this fascination with power. Just Trump being Trump imo

Trump has endlessly complained via Twitter about his campaign being investigated & Clinton not being properly investigated. That’s not an opinion, that’s a fact. @Caine why did you like this post?

If “Maybe we'll give that a shot some day” was a joke then so was the rest, since it was all said in the same breath and in the same jocular tone.
You sound just like a carbon copy of Enigma. Trump praising Putin for being a “strong leader” doesn't betray some sort of deep-felt admiration for authoritarianism. It's called diplomacy, or at least his attempt at diplomacy, as opposed to the literal Reds-under-the-bed propaganda you're just parroting.
That isn't the main proposition in the sentence, “But Trump's words reflected his deeply felt resentment that...” which is an opinion.

    You're bad at this.

It’s not an opinion :'(. Just days ago trump was on twitter s--- talking his own attorney general & has been doing so for the past year because he feels Sessions betrayed him by recusing himself from the Russia investigation & not investigating Clinton. Trump’s demand for loyalty has been an underlying issue throughout his presidency & provides context as to why he’s continued to show admiration to authoritarians and dictators.

So you think he was being sarcastic when he said:

He's now president for life. President for life. No, he's great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great.“ ?

You think it was all a big sarcastic joke and he actually disagrees with everything he said?

I know there’s diplomacy and leaders have to s--- each other off in public sometimes But it’s obvious Trump has a personal hard on for strong leaders with the way he’s praised Putin Erdogan and Duderte on specific issues. I think he even gave Kim a cute compliment once too. I don’t think it’s a political spectrum authoritarian thing, it’s just ego

He makes things harder on himself. Can you imagine how much smoother his presidency would be had he never asked Comey for loyalty & then fired him for not pledging loyalty to him? Or if he never demanded his counsel to fire Mueller last June? He thinks everyone within government needs to be on his team or out the door but that’s not how it works. We have checks & balances which undoubtedly irritates him.

Special counsel just announced that Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act twice in 2017. Requesting that the president take disciplinary actions.

Christ, it's like pulling teeth to get you to use the logical side of your brain for once, assuming it hasn't completely atrophied from disuse. I'll try once more: the claim that Trump's “deeply felt resentment” regarding these issues is reflected by his remarks is a subjective reading into those remarks. It is opinion. It is speculation. It's tantamount to mindreading. And it's propaganda. That's all it is.
I've already admitted Trump was an egotist. The fact that he said this or that about some few world leaders is neither here nor there.

Maybe it's my third grade reading skills acting up but I'm pretty sure this says "Donald Trump had some sketchy s--- on him and he feels bad about it, while Hillary Clinton did not have sketchy s--- on her and does not feel bad about it"

Which is just false because she's one of the most unlikable people of the 21st century because of her whacking people and being a corporate puppet of everything evil, she has way more on her than anyone could even make up about Trump but it's in nobody's best interest (especially if they value their lives) to speak about it

Trump's last remark, although seemingly upbeat, playful and in jest, reflects his deeply felt resentment for Hollywood stars who speak out against him rather than against his former rival, Hillary Clinton. Notice how he considers himself a star but nobody else. Clearly “star” here is a proxy for “dictator.” The evidence just keeps mounting that Trump dreams every night of doing away with presidential term limits and being president for life.

All evidence and common sense points to this being an in-job. Obviously Russia didn't do it or we would have seen proof by now.
