Uhh according to reports, it says he’s open to negotiate & with that comes denuclearization. N. Korea did the same thing in the 90’s, they even reached an agreement with the Clinton administration until the U.S./UN caught them violating it several years later. I hope they do meet. We need open dialogue between the U.S.-N. Korea. If you believe Kim Jong-un is going to just hand over his nuclear weapons though, you’re extremely gullible lol.

So 5 months ago, negotiating was a waste of time but now it’s not because the president is involved? N. Korea has said it wants to denuclearize in the past. We reached an agreement with them in 90s & they were caught violating it. Are you really taking Kim Jong-un’s word & not even a tad bit skeptical?

No, it was a waste because Kim seemed to be way off the deep end. And Im sorry, last I checked the current Un took over in 2011 - we will have to see what happens. This is a huge step in the right direction.

Way off the deep end how? What specifically changed that make negotiations now a good idea & 5 months ago, a “waste of time?” N. Korean policy towards the U.S. hasn’t changed much over the past couple decades. The state is run by the same greedy corrupt family that wants nothing but power at any means necessary. I think an open line of communication is good but I don’t trust the N.Korean government at all & any deal made has to include mandatory UN inspections.

Huh? Exactly. We have to see how this plays out. You guys are touting this as a win already before negotiations even begin. Knowing trump & Kim, this meeting could be called off by next week. All it takes is for one of them to get frustrated.

Or he’s looking to score political points. If trump were in a better position politically, idk if he takes this meeting as fast as he did. With the recent headlines stemming from the special counsel, stormy daniels, kushner’s security clearance etc. I think pushed him to take this meeting & get a more friendlier headline out there.
