1) Right now there is net negative rate of illegal immigration.

2) The cost of The Wall will cost 10x what Trump estimates it at.

3) Construction of The Wall will make it incredibly easy to move contraband and people across the border.


4) When The Wall is competed it can easily be defeated with 2 extension ladders... Or an extension ladder and a rope.

5) Mexico won't pay for The Wall and Trump's new plan is for Americans to pay for it twice.

First we pay for the initial build... Which Trump plans to pay back with a 20% tariff on Mexico's $300,000,000,000 yearly exports to us...the Mexicans will just raise the price of their goods by 20% to make up their cost difference and we will pay for The Wall twice.

Doesn't disprove anything. As the study notes, very little research exists on the subject. So it remains and open question, not a debunked myth as the liberal media would have it.

IBD certainly isn't ruling it out. Smart people. (They've currently got the most accurate poll too!)

For the first time I don't think I disagree too much with anything you wrote. I just think the idea of a wall is so basic that it's funny. Cost estimates say the wall would be $15 - 25B, which looks somewhat accurate to me, but you probably know more in this arena. I believe there is a way to get Mexico to pay for it, but obviously not through tariffs.

Also, the negative rate of immigration is mostly due to aggressive deportation under the Obama administration. Everyone conveniently forgets about that.

I'd say it can be argued that Christians are the cause of a lot of the worlds terrorism. Even within our country, A lot American shootings and mass murders are "christians", it's just domestic terrorism.

In the end it's not the religions that are bad, it's the select people who use that religion in a negative hateful manner. Christians and Muslims both do this. Same way a Christian president who claims to follow the bible which clearly states thou shall not k---, and preaches peace can order drone strikes and send troops to k--- people over oil, and other monetary/gain of resources motives.

More muslims are killed in the Middle East than christians. That's a no brainer. I don't want any religious group being targeted and killed but to set up a refugee process that prioritizes christians and then ban immigration from several Muslim-majority countries? That's not only discrimination, it's demonization.

Thing is he banned Muslim countries that have not been connected to terrorist attacks on us. Yet didnt ban countries that actually had people commit terrorism on us. If he is truly doing this for safety he would have banned those other countries first.

We should definitely be more scrupulous when it comes to Islamic immigration, however the Christian prioritizing sounds stupid and it could easily be taken advantage of by Radical Islamists.

Seems silly that we aren't pushing the other middle eastern countries to take most if not all of these refugees. They would assimilate better in those countries and it would work out better for everyone. Why isn't Saudi Arabia taking them?
