Thank god that war hawk Clinton didn’t win the election, am I right guys? That aside, similar to the strikes last year, in the short term, this response seems appropriate but what’s the long term plan? This administration hasn’t put forward any type of comprehensive long term plan to stop this conflict. Strikes like this are mostly symbolic.

This is a horrible outcome but please let’s not act like the attacks were solely some Trump brainchild. Any rational person knows 1. UK and France are just as responsible and 2. Clinton or anyone else running would have done the same thing, if not earlier. Clinton wanted a no fly zone in Syria, she was prepared for conflict. Trump is certainly a puppet and a hypocrite for doing this, but I’m a bit tired of hearing these foreign f---s bitching about America when this false flag event is far from just an USA thing

All of the attacks were focused on the chemical factories. Whether he did or didn't, he's gonna have a tough time doing it now.

Some leaders prefer to rule their people with fear. It's not farfetched for him to use these methods to invoke fear into his people. I'm not saying he didn't, but a lot of signs are pointing to the fact that he did.

Very true but at least Clinton had a comprehensive plan. A no fly zone enforced jointly by the EU would not only prevent these chemical attacks but also provide areas for refugees to settle into & stay safe rather than have to migrate to Europe or else where. Right now, the Trump administration seemingly has no long term plan. They are just responding with force whenever Assad/Russia do something that’s out of line.

To what end? Unless you accept the corporate media's one dimensional portrait of Assad as an unhinged sadistic madman, there was absolutely no thinkable strategic reason why he would launch a chemical weapons attack against his own civilians, running the risk of becoming an international pariah and getting wiped off the face of the earth.

Then you have western backed Jihadi rebels in the form of Boko Haram in Nigeria, al-Shabaab in Somalia and then the usual al-Qaida links spreading from Pakistan to middle-Africa. All those countries have had to endure aimless killings and slaughter of their own population which should let any sane individual think about the true Modus-Operandi of these groups posing as supposed religiously pious factions holding their own against national governments without supposed industry level aid
