I partially agree here outside of the fact that I do think the Syrian government targets its own people — including civilians at times. When you’re using chemical weapons it’s hard to argue that you’re not intending to cause civilian casualty. Like you said though, different countries have different rules of engagement & there’s most definitely a discrepancy there.

I believe it. Sadly even such undeniable evidence as this has no effect on the sleepers. Since it didn't come from CNN or the NYT they can disregard it without a second thought. Can't imagine being that brain-dead.

You never said or made the claim Enigma. But you heavily imply that the US is not at fault and is immune to war related criticism - by asserting that the Assad regime (without investigation from the UN) used Chemical weapons on there own civilians and then continuing to say that it's not equatable to say America bombing the s--- out of third world countries with "unintentional civilian casualties". When there are countless videos online of "collateral damage" and it's just some American marine bombing the f--- out of families while their higher ups on comms are like "yup. just s---t. just do it"

Can you explain your reasoning why you believe Assad would harm his own people And why Russia (the people you guys hate for being so intelajint they hacked ur election) would be stupid enough to allow them to do this, knowing US retaliation was a possibility?

"hi my name is Assad and this war is nearing it's end by the looks of it, the rebels are retreating... ah what a day. hmmmm, perhaps i should gas my people? I think I will"

and yeah i mean if you're using chemical weapons to attack stuff, you are doing it with the intention of causing harm. Glad Obomba dropped 300 peace strikes with intent to love over the middle east every day during 2016.

These guys are posting children play rehearsals & using them to try to persuade people into thinking that some entity is training school children to fake a chemical weapons attack. This is literally no different that alex Jones calling mass shooting survivors “crisis actors” lol.

The rebels are reported to have used chemical attacks 53 times according to one NY times report

and the actual flags of said rebels are in that very same school building, that doesn't at the very least give you any doubt in your mind that the rebels are the real problem ?

Alex Jones is a water salesperson who trolls people online with conspiracy theories to get clicks which = $$

Claims that Propaganda is being used during war, is something based on fact and historical evidence. I'm not saying I watched or even give a s--- about the videos posted. But link below and multiple other related reports are coming out all the time.

I never implied that at all dude lol. You can take the U.S. out of it, I’m simply saying there’s a distinction between using chemical weapons to attack your own people & the uninteded fatalities of war — regardless of whoever is pulling the trigger or pushing the button. That’s not to say the U.S. hasn’t committed war crimes (they have) or that they’re immune to criticism. There is a distinction though between mistakes, carelessness & intention (or frankly genocide).

Any reasoning given for assad’s chemical attacks is mostly speculation. Many people who’ve followed & studied the conflict have hypothesized that Assad’s use of chemical weapons is to discourage rebel forces who live among Syria’s general public from continuing to fight. To scare the people into submission. Why they continue to do so is because for the most part, they’ve gotten away with it. Yeah, the U.S. has responded with a couple strikes but like I said before — these strikes are mostly symbolic. With Russia’s backing, Assad feels like the U.S./NATO really can’t do much of anything without escalating tensions with a global super power which no one wants. Quite frankly, I don’t think Russia cares too much about Assad using chemical weapons — as long as he wins the war.

"as an ESL repeating myself is easier than engaging in conversation"
    not a problem, my dude.

    Doesn't make sense though.
The entire reason Russia is there/involved, is because of the Iran/Iraq/Syria oil pipeline. Russia wants that so it can get a big one up over the rest of Europe. Pretty sure that area of land being bombed in retaliation of Assad's warcrimes is a bit detrimental to that pipeline, no?

Why would Russia get involved in Syria for anything other than the pipeline and then why would they risk the greatest military power on earth getting involved due to the regime's leader being an idiot? If anything, Russia would be trying to "win" without the chance of multiple countries firing hundreds of missiles at their precious pipeline as it defeats the whole purpose of them being there.

uh-huh. so you and not me, correct? ... el goblina del creatura

Geo-political influence. Assad is one of russia’s only allies in the region. Similar to why China continues to support/prop up N. Korea. I’m sure there’s numerous reasons.

    Neither of us:

    what the f---?

That goes against what I said. What geo-political influence does Russia gain by siding with a war-criminal condemned by the US?
(it's like every answer you have raises another 15 questions because the answers aren't sufficient or based on reason)
Russia has plenty of allies, f--- off.

No. China sells stuff to N. Korea and backs them purely because China hates America and the American sanctions placed on both countries.

I think the thing you aren't understanding is how easy it is for these people to be allies with each other when they all share the same hatred for America. China doesn't look at N Korea as a rogue nation, they see them as a positive roadblock in America's geo-political influence.

These American journalists are not experts on an overseas war in Syria, sorry. try again?
also the articles lack sources and mention "analysts" multiple times...
also, the people who were reporting this story were from all over the world and not Syria.

What do you feel about Israel demonstrably using phosporus bombs on Palestinian innocent civilians?

Israel marked red as one of only few countries who hasn't signed/ratified the Chemical Weapons Treaty (meaning they either intend to or have breached international "red lines")
