Affirmative action was always rather r-----ed. Should be based soley on household income and not have anything to do with race. A poor asian is going to have a harder time getting in than a black person of the same economic status and that doesnt make any sense.

Does race matter in today's society? Yes, therefore it has to be a factor. Nobody is saying it should be a main deciding factor but to completely ignore it would be wrong too.

It absolutely is possible. There are numerous industrialized countries not nearly as rich as the U.S. that do it.

I agree it matters in society but I still do not believe it should be a factor. Whether you're a poor white, black, Asian or indian, you are going to have a hard time and I dont believe any of them should have a advantage over th3 other because of their race if they suffered the same level of poverty. That doesn't make any sense to me. Many of the "injustices" that are attributed to black americans and latino americans are statistically equivalent to their poor white and asian counterparts. Statistical evidence and findings>>>> anecdotal biases
