Yeah, he hasn't, you know, faced constant obstruction from his opposition especially in re immigration. It hasn't even been two years yet since he took office. He has plenty of time to deliver on his promises.

That's virtually unavoidable when D.C. itself is literally the swamp.

By all reasonable accounts it is. There's no reason to suppose he's a hardliner.

Sigh. This brings me back to when I used to volunteer on ESL forums. I often had to explain to English learners that dictionaries don't always precisely reflect actual everyday usage of a word. Most define stagnant as "not growing, changing or developing." A few give the additional, more qualified sense "showing little or no sign of activity or advancement" (or sluggish) but most native speakers understand stagnant to mean "no movement" or "no growth."

2. stale or foul from standing, as a pool of water.
3. characterized by lack of development, advancement, or progressive movement: a stagnant economy.
4. inactive, sluggish, or dull

So in your sentence, "Wages have been stagnant for years," most people are going to assume you mean (3). (4) is just not used much. If you meant sluggish, you should have been clear and said sluggish. I'm sure even you've realized this by now but don't want to admit you're wrong. Your tough guy act isn't fooling anyone, you're clearly embarrassed. I'll give you a D for effort though.

Obama made plenty of jobs for people who wanted to flip burgers and move boxes around. Naturally he inspired little consumer confidence compared to Trump. For years unemployment hovered between 4.5% and 5%, but in almost 20 years it never quite made it below 4%. You can twist yourself in knots all you want to credit your failed idol, but nobody with a brain is going to take you seriously. Sitting presidents can absolutely improve the economy in short order if they know what they're doing. Trump is a money president, Obama was not.

Illegal immigration from Mexico / Central America - due to its instability - brings in more crime and more problems. Also, not everyone from Mexico is brown. Many are almost purely of European descent.

I didn't say that. I said MS-13 was one of the many problems associated with illegal immigration and illegal immigrants. But don't try to tell me that deporting thousands of potentially violent individuals wouldn't be good for the country.

And again, I'm not offended by Trump's MS-13 rhetoric. Most people who aren't liberals aren't offended either. Many POC don't even give a s---, even some Hispanics. This isn't necessarily due to ignorance or muh racism. You have to understand that not everyone is an insufferable moralist bigot like you.

The president seems optimistic about the situation. I for one am optimistic as well, but I understand that this process will take time. So does he. If you're still taking everything he says at face value then you haven't learned much from your losses over the last few years.

Totally disgraceful. I was in total shock tbh. Has there ever been an instance in U.S. History where the president believes a foreign adversary over the U.S. intelligence community. The president believes Putin over American intelligence officers. Americans who serve this country & put their life on the line. Words can’t even begin to describe how sickening that is. This was undoubtedly a huge win for Putin. He literally has Trump in the palm of his hand.
