Seems like a waste of Money to me. The electoral machines cannot be hacked from a remote location as they are all offline. As for politicians having their emails hacked.

1. Hillary was hacked because of her own (illegal) irresponsibility.
2. Corrupt politicians should always have their dirty secrets exposed, if these were trump's emails with some Saudi conspiracy then you wouldn't be complaining about the Russians.
3. The security of email servers are 50% the responsibility of the Email service providers and 50% the responsibility of the users of these systems.None of this is anything to do with the government as these things are mean't to be private. Otherwise what exactly is being defined as a "cyber attack"? What exactly does that term encompass and how does it affect an election.
   
   

"Cyber attacks" only serve one of two purposes. Either to steal information or to disrupt services.So if it's not exposing inconvenient facts, then there's no way any Cyber attacks from anywhere will have any impact on the next elections.

They didnt make it a precedent to discriminate against gays. Youve always been able to sell, as a business owner, to whoever you want to. If they overturn gay marriage I will personally paypal you 15 bucks, cuz then they would have gone full r-----. But I highly highly doubt it would happen.

1. What illegal irresponsibility? Nothing that was leaked via Wikileaks implicated Hillary of any type of crime.
2. You clearly haven’t read the indictments & you probably should. The hackers stole more than just emails w/ some unethical material. They stole DNC data analytics, communications about fundraising & voter outreach, they were able to view banking information, stole opposition research files etc. This goes beyond “exposing secrets.”
3. When a foreign government hacks one of the two major parties in effort to tip the scale in a presidential election, it absolutely has everything to do with the government. It’s the federal government’s job to insure fair & free elections. This is cyber warfare.

You really under estimate the right’s ability to fear monger & turn a non-story into a national headline. The contents of the emails leaked via Wikileaks in 2016 weren’t even that bad but just the way the media covered the story — especially conservative media, blew it out of proportion. At the end of the day, a negative head line is a negative head line. The average American wouldn’t be able to tell you the contents of the emails that leaked via Wikileaks but Sean Hannity said they were atrocious so they must be.

Legally, the store can do whatever the f--- it wants. Thats just how it is, i would never go to a store like that and it would be a terrible business move, but it would not be illegal as far as the law is concerned.

It doesnt matter how long ago gay marriage was made legal, its set in stone. The gov't does not want to have to deal with the enormously huge blowback they would get if they made it illegal again, itd be a big issue. What would happen to those who already married? Too big of a logistical issue to be revoked, and republicans dont seem to give much of a s--- about it. Its not going to happen.

Putin doesnt like gays, putin also doesnt like journalists and has killed a few. Once Trump is linked to killing journalists then maybe this arguement will have some fruit. Personally, I dont think trump has much time left.

Frankly i don't think any Americans can complain about interfering with elections given the history of the US. But they didn't hack the party. The hackers (whoever did it) hacked Hillary Clinton, an individual because her private email security was weak. That's on her as an individual.
