I'm not using that as the measuring bar.......

Trump coming out and warning North Korea was not some "impulse control issue".

His administration literally told the press the other day that his threat was "impulsive." He didn't run the language by anybody in his administration before stating it. You can send a warning message without agitating a rogue country with nuclear capabilities. A simple, "the US will continue to protect its citizens & its allies from the threat that N. Korea poses" would have been suffice. But no, Trump wanted to go full highschool jock and whip his d-ck out by threatening their existence with "fire and furry." His comments contradict decades of US policy on N. Korea. They contradict the positions of people in his own cabinet.

Except it's not what needed to be said. His comments raised tensions. It started an international ordeal that has put people's lives in danger. You want to start a war so our president can win a d-ck measuring contest? Because honestly that's what this is.

People's lives have been in danger for a long time now.... BECAUSE OF NORTH KOREA!!!

You're acting like Trump's warning is the whole reason North Korea hates us and is constantly threatening us. Literally with every new advancement NK makes in their missile program, they make new threats.

If Trump said "we will continue to protect our people and our allies" it's not like NK would've been like "oh wow Trump was so nice with his word selection. Ya know what, we aren't gonna make any more threats."

I mean I sort of get what ya mean but Trump didn't need to say what he did cuz it'll just make matters worse.

Kim and Trump are both egotistical emotional morons who don't seem to care if millions of people die as long as they make the other person look bad and one up them. If Kim wanted to nuke the US before then I'm sure he does even more so now.

They'll just keep going back and forth till something eventually happens and it's most likely gonna be something very awful.

You can't just speak your mind when you're responsible for millions of lives more than just your own. What you say must be strategic.

Unfortunately for us Trump's only strategic moves involve bashing the media and Obama.

No, I said he raised tensions with his threat. N. Korea is now drafting plans to attack Guam because of Trump's threat. I don't understand why you feel we have to mimic or respond to N. Korea every time they say something. Let them make threats. They're just words. The UN just slapped them with sanctions costing them $1 billion dollars. N. Korea brought in $3 billion dollars worth of exports last year -- that's a third of their annual exports that they will no longer receive because of these new sanctions. That's actual action. Let them b---- and complain about it.

Kinda seems like that's what you're arguing though.

It might or might not. Depends on whether China actually implements the sanctions & N. Korea's response if they do. Half of N. Korea's population lives in "extreme poverty." They are starving their own people to fund their nuclear weapons program. If conditions get any worse & they will if these new sanctions are implemented – the N. Korean government will have to start worrying about a potential coup. The sanctions at the very least put pressure on them. It's taking action. It's much better than exchanging death threats back & forth.
