Sep 23, 2019 Would be interesting to see Em beefing with 50 after that happens... Never will happen tho'
Sep 23, 2019 Compton was slept on imo just because it didn’t have those big DRE singles.. give it 3 singles that can b--- in the clubs and it would have been a huge album imo I want to hear the album “Kush” was made for. That was a dope song and maybe it didn’t get enough love and Dre scrapped the album but Kush was perfect first single for me. You can tell from the style of Kush that the album was going to be a b-----r! Dre never needed to top the chronic 2001, that was all in his head. I never expected him to top that album. We complain about all the mumble rap and stuff but hip hop needed Detox and it never came. 50 and Game beefed at the peak and The impenetrable house showed cracks and ultimately started to collapse. People moved on.. taste in music changed.. but part of that is because we let it change. And when I say we.. I’m talking Shady / Aftermath / G-G-G-G-UNITTTT s---.. most of the original fans all have kids now and those kids are like 10-15 years old. Yeah their parents are still cool and listen to hip hop but they still gonna Rebel they ain’t gonna listen what their parents listen to lol.. that’s a part of it as well. The reign continued because our little siblings looked up to us and listened to what we did.. so that takes care of a good 10+ years right there.. but our kids (I have none yet) but some of my friends do.. and they like Eminem yeah but it isn’t what they are listening to. The kids word it as.. Eminem has not caught on in our generation. And you know what I’m cool with that. Eminem need to continue how he is going right now and make the music for US!! He’s an OG now.. I want OG Eminem. I want to sit there tell these kids.. yeah but none of these rappers ever gonna f--- with Eminem
Sep 23, 2019 You lost me at Drake lol. I love Drake’s music but he never was a crazy lyricist. The rest, I agree.
Sep 23, 2019 Did anybody keep reading after he said Drake's name as one of the real lyricists ??? LOL.
Sep 23, 2019 Compton was just a great album from front to back. Anybody saying otherwise, sorry but I can't respect that opinion. Kush was a great song and a single. I loved the beat, I loved the flows, hook everything about it. I Need A Doctor was the worst beat Dre ever used tho. What a waste of great verses and concept... So since both songs were from the same era and probably same album, I'm not sure what to think of it. Topping 2001 ? There ain't such thing. 2001 is perfect, flawless, u can't just do better than flawless, Compton is close anyway, it's not like I'd say Compton had problems. I like 2001 more than The Chronic but I wouldn't really say it was better than The Chronic, they both were classics easily. As for Em, as much as the new generation don't f--- with the OGs anymore, non of those rappers they listen to will have longevity as Em did, maybe except very few ones like Cole, Kendrick. Em will always have good amount of listeners, even after he dies, he created dozens of timeless classics but most of those guys new generation likes to listen will be long gone before even Em's career is over lol. (of course, I'm not saying they will not rap anymore but I'M saying most of the guys who has the most popular rap songs of last few years will be doing pretty bad compared to now in less than a decade. ) All in all, yess we always need OGs, I still check out almost every rapper from 90's when they release new s--- or mostly listen to them compared to the newer stuff that's out.
Sep 23, 2019 Call me a conspiracy theorist/crazy but at the beginning of b--- right before Conway says “yeah” if you listen carefully it sounds like eminem sounds something but it’s hard to understand. This could also just be a tag from a producer I didn’t recognize but I’m stoned & drunk and just noticed it lol. I had to have headphones in to hear it personally
Sep 24, 2019 Old Drake had bars. Not the best technically but boy can spit his butt off when he wants to.
