Sep 26, 2019 Jesus! We finally get rid of the blue cover idiot, and now this troll comes back.... fml
Sep 26, 2019 100% right. Honestly the thing I hate most about eminem (not saying I hate him , I don't) is some of the r-----ed fans. Yeah I also don't like certain new rappers -or different type of rappers that have been around longer- , and have been vocal about it, but also dozens I do like a lot. And new rappers are also some of the reel rap losers some people like (hopsin, logic.. sorry joey) It's a shame that lots of people write ALL of them off and Eminem kinda backs them up like u said. Used Lucky You as an example btw but I think Fall, Stepping Stone, Ringer, Greatest are examples of great 2018 eminem songs even more. Also don't want a quavo hook because I think quavo sucks but a future hook? Why not ? Would be cool. Chloraseptic and Kamikaze were a great start w eminem being more open to other collabs, hopefully he stays this way and we actually get some more decent music from him. The pre written hook stuff worked sometimes , but to me its more important what he brings to the table. Speaking of, River had a GREAT hook.. he just s----d. Same with Nowhere Fast and Like Home. Bad Guy remains genius btw even if most of mmlp2 kinda got boring after a while
Sep 26, 2019 I never listen to songs I don't like. There is no Eminem album (or Drake for that matter) I listen to without skipping one or more tracks
Sep 26, 2019 Well duh lots of people don't listen to full albums, but saying no one listens to full albums unless they're already a fan of an artist is just...wrong. If that was true then why does every single song on a Drake album top the streaming charts when he drops an album? Plenty of people listen to albums all the way through.
Sep 26, 2019 Drake has been very successful in the US, yes. However, Eminem has been and still is a powerhouse all around the globe. He's sold way more albums anywhere so what if Drake had more top 10 songs in the US in the last ten years?? He's still got a long way to go to be in the same league as Eminem. On a side note, as far as technicality goes, they are not even close to be comparable.
Sep 26, 2019 U know why it does. U also know why em's all songs on kamikaze did too. That doesnt mean ppl listen to whole s---. Many ppl decide to just ljsten songs they like and no way they will like everything on an album unless the album has 5 7 songs lol. Of course there might be few people as exceptions for what i said but I'm talkin about the majority here lol.
Sep 26, 2019 If it charted like that it means people listened to the whole s--- lol. I'm not saying you're wrong that the norm is playlists/rap caviar—it's been that way practically since music libraries/the mp3 player. But there's still a very large chunk of people who prefer the album experience—it's not small enough to ignore. Young Thug's most recent album had a bunch of songs in the top 25 for a couple weeks which is pretty good for an era of fast-food music consumption. But to me this is also a testament not to the fact that people don't listen to full albums at all anymore, but that they don't stick with albums for very long no matter how good they are. They want the next thing in a week or two even if they like or even love an album that dropped two weeks ago.
Sep 26, 2019 You too, huh? Well, the first step is admitting it. So you're headed in the right direction.
Sep 26, 2019 I'm not saying there are very small amount of ppl prefering to listen whole albums, I'm saying there are very small amount of ppl who listens to albums as a whole except the fans of the artist. Drake's or Em's song can easily get into the top 50 or smh like that because they have huge fanbases. Same with Young Thug I guess, probably there were nothing as big as his s--- dropped at the time so he got bunch of songs easily because many US teens are fan of his s--- and they listen to those. Btw, I think they even count the stream if you just listen to a track for a while, u don't have to listen to it as a whole. I'm an album person myself. I like to check out the whole albums of artists I like but sometimes I skip some tracks if they really bore me. If what I said wasn't the case, some of the dopest s--- out there (and also poppiest trap s--- out there) would have had more streams easily. The whole album listeners are very few. The most they might do is just get glimpse of every track by just listenin a min by them to see if they like of course, again, unless they are a fan of the artist.
Sep 26, 2019 This isn't Eminem related, however Royce is in the trailer as well as other rappers. Seems interesting at the least.
