Nov 22, 2019 Biryani is a rice dish originating from India. It’s basically basmati rice, a bunch of different spices that give it all kinds of flavors, colors, and aromas, some veggies, and a meat (in my experience typically chicken or goat). Because of all the different spices and the way it’s prepared, the final dish looks amazing. The rice is multicolored, from white to different shades of orange, red, and yellow, and then you got the tender chunks of goat or chicken. Typically the restaurant will ask you how spicy you want it. I never tried Indian food until like 7 years ago. I quickly realized that not only is Indian by far my favorite type of food, biryani (when prepared correctly, some restaurants s--- so bad at making it) is one of my all time favorite dishes. You should try it!

Nov 22, 2019 Yea definitely try it. It’s a staple dish and when prepared correctly, it’s delicious. I could probably eat it every day. Unfortunately, I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants that don’t make a good biryani. If I remember correctly, biryani is originally a southern India dish. So if you go to an Indian restaurant that specializes in southern dishes, you’ll have a much higher likelihood of getting it prepared correctly. Just a friendly tip.
