Nov 22, 2019 Imo, he should just make the kind of music that's non pretentious and genuine to his current self. Like making the kind of music he wants to make and believes in, rather than trying to pander to a bunch of whiny cocksuckers who would never fully accept or appreciate whatever new he has to offer
Nov 22, 2019 To clarify, I like all his new albums for what they are. Recovery is a personal favorite of mine for personal reasons. Revival has some gems. Same with MMLP2. Kamikaze is amazing. But as this is a message board to discuss music, speculate is what we do.
Nov 22, 2019 This x1000 Dude ain't got s--- to prove to anyone he's a certified GOAT let him do what he wants. That's the issue I've had with most of the recent stuff that didn't work out.. felt like he pandered to complaints and wasn't true to his own self
Nov 22, 2019 Again, I'm not saying he should pander to what we think. And he should do what ever he wants. Just trying to make conversation.
Nov 22, 2019 Not really sure what kind of theme I want from Em at this point. As long as the songs have replay value and aren't silly. Would really like some more personal or storytelling songs though. Just those type of songs were he expresses vulnerability or stories you love hearing.
Nov 22, 2019 Wanna hear him mention something about his dad. You know hes probably going too since he died. Will be interesting to hear what he will say.
Nov 22, 2019 I'd take a 10 track album. Reflecting on his career so far, talking about his father, Ronnie, early days with Dre, his legacy and current standing in the rap game
Nov 22, 2019 Thats what his retirement album should be like. Unless you think his next will be his last.
Nov 22, 2019 Sounds great in theory but think about how incredible Headlights would have sounded in theory. Then look at what we actually got.
Nov 22, 2019 I'd be happy with one last masterpiece solo and then some EP/mixtapes/features/random singles. I think making mixtapes would actually take a lot of the pressure off of him to match the masterpieces of his early work.
