Dec 3, 2019 Was just listening to The Warning. Easily amongst his best songs. The beat bumps inspite of being so simple and Em's flow is nuts. Can he use songs like that, Castle, Arose etc. as a model for his nexy album ffs? Where have those simple beats and flows have gone?
Dec 3, 2019 he just isn't the guy to do the same flows from 10-20 years ago again, he said it numerous times. Sometimes it's a blessing and sometimes it's a curse. But The Ringer for example came pretty close to a simple flow even if it was fast.

Dec 3, 2019 Also doesn't help that Ems verse on the Lean Back verse was bad. Maybe if that verse was good I'd have a bit more hope. Just have a feeling hes gonna half a--- the verse a bit since its Fat Joe. Also hes been on fire for almost 2 years now hes probably due to have a sub par verse at some point.
Dec 3, 2019 That’s the most disappointing issue about his current music. Doesn’t use those smoother flows anymore. He can mix it well like Stepping Stone. Still hear some of his current flow but overall, it’s the prime Em flow! I sincerely believe he’d have a near classic on his hands if he dropped an album flowing like he used to but still have his newer sound and flows mixed in periodically.
