Dec 30, 2019 What are some Eminem songs you guys think had good lyrics but wish had a better beat, or songs with a good beat but you wish the lyrics were better? I’ll start: All I Think About- Great technical lyricism but that arcade video game beat is trash. Unbearable. Chemical Warfare- I listened to this recently so it came to mind. Fantastic Alchemist beat but Em just does a throwaway freestyle on it.

Dec 30, 2019 I agree with your post. I don't have much of a problem with Chemical Warfare tho. I'd say a------ - Good verses but the worst beat ever. Wish he had some great Dre production on it. Would have changed the flow too. Big Weenie - Was a great beat, might have made another Without Me type of s--- or maybe completely different content but still would have been big because of the beat. But he basically f----- around in the studio and it was just that beat... a--- Like That could be another but it's actually funnier, sure not the best way to use the beat but whatever. At least the song was international hit. Big Weenie was a straight waste of dope beat.
Dec 30, 2019 Agree with pretty much everything you said. Like “Big Weenie” I also feel that the Rain Man beat could’ve been made for a good funny song(with actual good lyrics and delivery) as well.

Dec 30, 2019 Normal and Kamikaze are absolutely incredible songs if you look at them as more than the sum of their parts, i.e. how good the beat is + how good the lyrics are. Those two songs have a certain feel to them, a tone/mood that's more evocative of Slim Shady than anything Em's put out since at least Relapse, if not earlier. For the first time in a long d--- time, I felt like I was listening to a truly inspired "Slim Shady" track.
