Dec 27, 2014 Interesting. I didn't know dmx and jay z were bigger than eminem during the sslp era. If I would have witnessed my name is when it first came out, I would have viewed eminem as a comedy one hit wonder. I honestly can't remember when forget about dre released and never heard the what's the difference track yet. I wasn't into hip hop growing up either though I was a huge limp bizkit fan, at that time. I used to play call of duty with Fred almost everyday back in high school believe it or not lol. It seems Dre promoting eminem really played a big role in music masses taking eminem seriously and not just as a gimmick. Without Dre, it's hard to tell what would have happened with Eminem. The Chronic would have been an awesome experience listening to it when it first came out and blowed up. d--- I missed some good hip hop. But yeah man, pretty cool you get to say that you got to listen to eminem before he was mainstream into his prime then leading into his current downfall the last 10 years lol. I wasn't into eminem much until I heard the cleaning out my closet track sneaking the mmlp cd from cousin into my portable cd player trying to hide from my parents.
Dec 27, 2014 mmlp2 was good enough for me to not call his current run a downfall (unpopular opinion? smd) but I still obviously prefer tes
Dec 27, 2014 lol nice. after I call it good you leave it out of your rating entirely I feel the love bro
Dec 27, 2014 1. Mmlp 2. Tes 3. Mmlp2/sslp 4. Recovery 5. Relapse 6. Encore 7. Infinite Though i love all his albums apart from infinite and encore
Dec 27, 2014 Probably because most of the people who 'hate' Eminem were among his biggest fans when he was good
Dec 27, 2014 if mmlp2 was better than encore, what if his next album is better than one of your top 3?
Dec 27, 2014 I don't think there is any danger of that considering how badly he's fallen off, but I don't get the question anyways. I would judge his next album and rank it accordingly.
Dec 27, 2014 sorry, but while you can debate how far Eminem has fallen off, there is no way to rationally suggest that he hasn't fallen off at all. The notion that he's even nearly as good as he's ever been is pathetic Stannery
Dec 27, 2014 the last album was written in 2012. hopefully the one finished in 2016 will make the aforementioned jump into top 3
Dec 27, 2014 We all hope that. Even the people who think he fell off hope he suddenly makes a classic album again. Very small chance though. Yeah olorin is also an alias right Edit: seriously though, the guy went from stan, criminal, sing for the moment to survival, big weenie, just lose it, won't back down, numb etc.. how does that not show that he fell of? Sure each of his albums since encore had some great songs, but there are so many s-----y ones that make the albums, as a whole (almost), unlistenable. That didn't happen on his first 3.
