I think they played it for him and he asked or requested they alter the Tyler line. At first, he just seemed disappointed it was kept, then he flipped the script when half his fan base was looking at him with disapproval.

guys once you listen to his few times you need to stop overthinking and just listen to it musically

i once made a thread on SL where i nitpick TES and i came up with a list of 83 bullet points showing shortcomings...and i still think its the greatest album of all time

just listen

its crazy how ppl find small things to hate about eminem songs...and some ppl find cool things they like about drake songs

I don’t recall Sia directly asking for her contributions to be removed, but I do recall her distancing herself after all the MMLP2 controversy with “f--”. She said something along the lines of “I wouldn’t have worked with him had I known he would say those things” (pretty dumb thing to say, considering it’s f---ing Eminem)

Stepping Stone although medicore has a smooth flow. Really on point for once. If only he could do that more often.

100% agree. I immediately heard flaws in both MMLP2 and Revival but tried to look past them. I went into this album with a clear head and would have been MORE than willing to admit what's bad about it if there was much. This could change a bit once the hype dies down but right now I could see 6 or 7 of these songs being in his top 10 post-hiatus tracks.

From now on Eminem just needs to give himself a month or two to make an album and no more. Sure, not every song on each album will be amazing but clearly that's what works for him now.

Also, Venom hook is amazing.
