    Maybe it's just because it was "prime era Eminem", but I doubt I'll ever put any of his later albums above MMLP, TES, and SSLP.

    I think the most fitting comparison is recovery - flawed, perhaps even deeply flawed (depending on your pathology)... but fine. Sum good moments.

    Mainstream and fun and only occasionally embarrassing

    I genuinely think Em relapsed at one point, either before or as he was creating revival. Would explain the weight gain and atrocious music, if it wasn’t for the last 3 tracks on that album it is contender for worst album of all time across all genres.

    At least Kamikaze is pretty great.
