The one thing I think that gives Em a bit of an advantage here if he does respond (doubt it) is im almost certain Rap Devil is MGK’s best punch. He def went all out with that diss track & tried to write it as best as he could. If Em could come back with even a The Warning tier response, it’s a wrap.

We also thought he isnt the type of artist who drops an album out of nowhere/ without promo and pop songs .

He HAS to respond. And not even at MGK. MGK took a lot of shots but he's a nobody and his lyrics are terrible. But he has to respond to Budden. If he doesn't he's a b----, cause Budden just blatantly called him an industry plant and said he's s----d for the last 10 years. No one cares what the weird lanky white guy who did that song with Camila Cabello said at the end of the day. He shouldn't dedicate a whole song to either. It should be one song with both in it, but more shots at Joe

Eminem put himself in this position by dissing so many rappers and I'm sure he knew there was a possibility of him getting dissed. I bet he never thought a diss would get as big as MGK's is getting though but if Eminem is taking his time then that's great but he better end MGK

There will be a response, the only factors that matter are how late will he drop it and how good will it be.

Maybe i was wrong about having patience though, he gave Rap Devil way too much air and now it’s on its way to being a hit. Should have dropped some fire to stomp it out, but who knows if he even had the time.

I don’t think he has to respond to either but if he does respond, it should be MGK. Forget Budden, he’s retired, he’s not going to respond on track. There’s literally no point in pursuing that. Em would just look stupid dissing him & then joe responding via podcast like wtf? Em should just address that in an interview or some s---. MGK’s diss track has gotten a lot more traction than Budden’s 1 hour + podcast anyway. Most people don’t care about Joe Budden that much to sit through that & hear what he has to say lol.

Joe is a respected rapper and personality in the hip hop world, MGK isn't. Buddens words hold more weight

it doesn’t matter that it’d be below em to respond, he literally has to. his credibility depends on it. half the lyrics on kamikaze are him asking for smoke

Let's look at Eminem's previous classic diss tracks

He literally is singing on diss tracks. Making catchy hooks, over catchy beats with simple but effective easy to understand lyrics. The funny thing is Rap Devil by MGK sounds like a 2000-2004 Eminem song from the hook, to the beat to the flow. Don't get me wrong i'm i'm not saying the rapping is ABC basic zero technical lyricism on these diss tracks. It's at an above average to good level. But not complex, not super technical, not intricate

So why now is he so rappity rap on Not Alike and in general on so many songs since his return in 2009?

Album rollouts can last 6-12 months. I think the only reason Budden said that is so that he could have time to prepare. In one of his recent interviews, he said that he hasn't written a single bar since like 2016, so he's probably rusty.

Joe will respond if Em replies within the next few days. You know he’s been prepping ever since he heard it. He said that on the podcast.

I think he needs to go at budden. He said some pretty disrespectful s--- on his podcast lol and if em dosent come 100% budden will tear him up. He is a top tier lyricist

Forgot to add it is naive to actually blame Royce even though he started the rappity rap flow and being so overly complex in lyrics and trying so hard to rap technical in certain songs since 2009 was when he became cool with Royce again and signed him and Slaughterhouse. Royce has to be a slight influence as do the rest of Slaughterhouse. But it is really puzzling what the main reason is
