    I think this surprise rollout is helping a lot of people to appreciate this album.
    There were no expectations this time around with months building up a hype and besides that the album is actually really good imo.

    Not sure I’d put this on the level as scorpion. The nice guy good guy tracks are trash. Scorpion was solid all the way through

    Finished the album now and it’s actually great. I could go without Nice & Good Guy, other than that this entire project is dope and I didn’t expect this. Seems like his best project since TES honestly. Though I love Budden and I feel bad he had to get dissed lmao. At least he could come outta retirement now, Em vs Budden would be awesome lol.

    My gut reaction is that it's his best work since TES...what I am impressed with is that he was able to keep his essence as an artist while updating his sound/style/flow for 2018, which is something I honestly thought he'd NEVER be able to do, because he showed such resistance to it for years. Never thought he'd be doing Mike Will beats justice. There's a couple duds on here and some bad punchlines/choppy flows but the album actually sounds well put together. It seems like for the first time he was just rapping what he felt instead of going in with a mission regarding what he thought people wanted to hear (relapse: they want crazy slim shady! recovery: they want the opposite of relapse! mmlp2: they want nostalgia! revival: they want me to be political!). Also: since it's a shorter album he was actually discerning about what songs he put on here meaning we probably missed out on hearing five or six horrendous pieces of s--- that he'd normally put on to pad the length.

    I dunno how much mileage I'll get out of it in the long run just because I'm not a huge em fan anymore but there were songs on here that'd listen to on purpose and I actually have the desire to listen to it again.

    Yeah you wouldn’t say that to my face. Still so furious drake destroyed pusha in numbers I see. I admitted i actually like a few tracks on this album from what i heard. Just not as consistent.
