When he's in the zone (the ringer, fall verse 2) he's really, really good on here

After 3 playthroughs, the stand outs are:
The Ringer
Stepping Stone (minus the horrible hook)
Fall.

Pros:
No poppy hooks.
Substance.
Dissing s-----y trap/mumble rap.

Cons:
Still too choppy and stop/start.
Beats and mixing still a bit off (Fall claps though).

Not bad for 7/8 months work. Beats are better but not great (apart from Fall). Slow the flow down a bit more, drop the samples and give Dre some more time to polish up the production.

This is his 6th best album. Probably his best work since 2010.

Pitchfork is going to rip this album apart. Em was brave in this liberal sjw climate for coming out with such an unapologetic album.

Fantano will probably give this a 6 or something. Worst score I could see is a 5.

it's a shame to see justin vernon distance himself from the track because of the tyler/fa---- line, but he's my favorite non-rap artist and it's an incredible combo on fall
