Jan 14, 2015 Because most people look for any reason to knock him, regardless if its hypocritical or not
Jan 14, 2015 because people discussing other rappers are always too busy rightfully hating their s--- flows and s--- beats and s--- stories and s--- rhymes when like in em's case all you have to whine about is the occasional bad punch, in other words the second or third entendre going over a few people's heads, that's all you'll hear about
Jan 15, 2015 you sound ridiculous implying I'm in a fit of rage bashing at my phone because you've just gotten me so gosh darn worked up eat s--- lmao
Jan 17, 2015 "So s--- my d-ck on the couch if you wanna cushion the blow" I always laugh when I hear that one.
Jan 17, 2015 I agree that people go overboard with the hate for Em's punchlines, but the reason is because he started doing it out of the blue on Recovery and it was pretty jarring (plus, there ARE quite a few bad ones). People hate on Wayne's punchlines all the time (especially the ones about eating p----), lots of people think Bino is corny as f---, and there's even a colloquialism for Kanye punchlines ("Kanyeism").
Jan 17, 2015 I think Eminem also gets a lot of flack for it because he seems to think he's being really clever and taking himself seriously when he says some of this s---. Can you imagine, say, a Lloyd Banks bar where he says "Banks is cooler than the other side of the pillow? -PAUSE- Get it? Because when you turn the pillow over it is not as hot because your face wasn't just on it. HA HA!" Others who make the lamer punchlines pull it off better because they have a genuine charisma or sense of humor that Marshall just doesn't have any more. People don't make fun of the weird s--- he said on his early albums because it wasn't forced as f---. Nowadays he is trying way too hard and failing even harder as a result.
