But fans can kept the show alive and own a piece of it: Motorcycles, apparel and props from the FX series are up for auction this week viaScreenBid, an online auction house. Going under the gavel are the rebuilt 1946 Harley-Davidson knucklehead ridden by the show's hero, Jax. Also up for sale are Jax's leather boots, helmet and white Nike sneakers, as well as the Harley ridden by the show's Opie and even an Airstream travel trailer, which served on the show as the house of the character Unser. Prices are not final until the last bid is in, but bidding on leather vests with the SOA logo is holding around $5,000, about the same price currently being bid for that Airstream. The motorcycles are going for a little more. Jax's knucklehead is currently at $16,500. Opie's 2001 Harley Dyna Glide is at $7,200. Also going under the gavel is ... the gavel — the one used to settle disputes, wielded by the SOA president, in the SOA clubhouse. Current bid is $10,500. The bidding should, by rights, be fierce. The final episode of the seven-season motorcycle melodrama was seen by an estimated 9.25 million viewers — the highest number in the show's entire run. Proceeds from some sold items will go to the non-profit foundations Chrysalis, Boots Campaign, and Friends and Helpers. The auction ends Thursday at noon EST.
Dec 24, 2014 Alright so I'm a little late to SOA. Finally started watching it almost 2 months ago and just finished up the finale a few hours ago. Couldn't stop watching it but avoided this thread so I wouldn't see any spoilers. My view on the finale which I loved. Jax finally achieved setting the club on the legit path. He did that with Redwoody. He severed the ties with the Irish, the Mayans took over the guns, killed off the chinese so no retaliation. Peace at last. So that took care of his club As for his boys, I think that was another reason he killed Gemma, not just for the Terra murder. He asked her for JTs manuscript. Told Wendy to tell his boys that he was a criminal and a killer. Reason he burned the last JT manuscript and his own journals that he was writing for them. He didn't want Abel and Thomas to grow up idolizing him like he did JT. He grew up hearing heroic stories about his dad from Gemma. JT never wanted Jax to become part of SAMCRO and he scarified himself, Jury's was the one that cleared that up. Thats why Jax said I know why you did it, referring to him offing himself. Jax finally came to the realization that JT killed himself to prevent Jax from becoming part of SAMCRO. But Gemma had other plans. She wanted Jax to become part of SAMCRO, keep it in the family and take the head of the table. She wanted that life, the power that came with it. With Gemma gone, she couldn't fill the boys head with lies. I don't think he had planned going into the truck like that. I think he was just going with it and when he saw the truck, he smiled because he was going out like JT. It was the only way for Jax to go. He couldn't leave his club or who he was behind and live some normal life (like f---ing Dexter) so he knew he had to go. He couldn't live with killing Gemma but she had to go to save Abel and Thomas. Unfortunately, Gemma had already made her influence on Abel with that ring and I think at some point down the road Abel will return and become the new Jax, just like Jax became JT. The very first scene in the pilot episode showed 2 crows, bread and Jax riding into Charming. The last scene shows crows, bread and Jaxs blood. I've read rumors about a possible SOA prequel or sequel. I hope they do a sequel with 2 crows and Abel riding into Charming. Also that song that played during the final scene was f---ing amazing and brilliant. Come Join the Murder. Kurt Sutter actually wrote the song. Murder means a group of crows. Great series and great ending
