Meh...Maydays album is just decent IMO. On par with Future Vintage.

So some people may know I'm a huge mayday fan and they're pretty much the only artist I listen to from strange. I had some spare time and decided to write my thoughts about their new album. This was my first proper listen without interruption and these are my thoughts. Beware it's a long post.

Perimeter: basically an intro. Probably their most interesting intro. I guess setting up the narrative.
Escape plans : very smooth. Interesting beat change.
News to me : more fast pace. Not to fond. Wrekonize flow doesn't feel right. Bernz is impressing me more then usual.
How would you know : this is the wrekonize I love. Ohh this beat definitely suits him. Definitely one of my early favourites. Chorus is a tad too long imo.
Better place : one of the music videos, which means they feel this is one of the better songs or a catchy song. Catchy definitely.
Long night : The typical tech nine feature. Not a bad song. Tech seems to rapping slower then usual, he adds to the song.
Pretender : that drum line. Very carabian feel. Another early favourite.
System : not feeling this song.
Tempted :wrecks flow is on point. Apart from that, this feels like a filler.
Extra : there's a high pitched drum or something that annoys me. Apart from that, it's a decent song. Not the best it not the worst.
Have someone : My favourite song so far. From production to chorus to each verse, amazing.
Airplane mode : probably my favourite single. Seems like this albums version of June, here and shortcuts and deadends. Funny thing is I'm writing this while flying.
Save me from myself : imo another filler. Don't get me wrong, it's a good song. Just seems out of place.
Do: when the single came out, I was dissapointed, but it's grown on me and I actually like the song. In a rare occasion I prefer bernz to wrek on this.
Same old us: enjoying this. Enjoying the production.
One way trip : last full song. Very strong ending. First and last song are strong. Consistency as usual by mayday.
Don't rescue me: basically a closure. Oh there's the strange music tag.

Overall a great album. I don't know if I've been airing bernz in previous projects, but he really surprised me in this project. He acc has chance of being the better rapper on this album. Which previously wrekonize always won. Definitely better than future vintage. Don't know how it will match up with believers as time goes. Honestly need to get in more listens to fully understand the narrative.

Tech hasn't had a good album in years. His beat selection is absolute f---ing trash. He's ran out of s--- to rap about. His time has came and gone. But e had a good run.
