s--- boys how's it going? I have been super busy but trying to stay in the loop. A few thoughts
-How is everyone feeling about Special Effects a few months out now? IMO it just keeps growing and getting better for me. I honestly listen to many songs off the album on the daily, and must go through the album like 3 times a week. I feel it is his best work since KOD and could go on and on for a long time about it but I am curious about what you guys think?
-New MayDay=f--- yeah! Sooooo excited and the tracklist is looking pretty good. The first single was Okay...it didnt floor me in anyway but it is good on the ears. Reeeeealy looking forward to the Tech collaboration (Praying to the Lord we get something near the caliber of Badlands...One of techs best flows and verses in years).
-Stevie Stone's abum was about what I expected. A few bangers and lots of duds. Raindance and Run it are f---ing dope and X Rated was terrible and a waste of a Tech verse IMO.
-Tech has been hopping on some horrible artists songs but I cannot blame the man if he is making 10,000-15,000 a verse haha. He always murders them it is pretty funny.
-Fully torqued for The Storm and Strangeulation 2. A was in the party that fully enjoyed Strangeulation 1...thought the cypher was f---ing dope and the beats were top notch. High energy and everyone brought their A-Game.
-May God have mercy that Beast song off of Southpaw is INSANE! They all murder it, and even as a Tech Stan, looking at the song objectively I feel that Tech had the best flow and maybe verse (crooked's was pretty sick). The beginning bridge where he talks about the IRS, then "the lupus killed my mother" flow is just unreal. Song gives me chills and is great for running. That Tech N9ne flow and beat, and the Burn it Down/Certain Comfort is the Tech N9ne I like haha.
-Listened to All 6's and 7's all the way through recently on a drive. Haven't listened to it in years and I must say I enjoyed it more than before. Something Else still sucks IMO and is his worst project.

In the same order:
- I still listen to every song on the album (except Hood Go Crazy and Anti, the intro is just too long) basically every day and I still love it as much as when it first came out. Favourite song is probably on the bible.
- like everyone else, I'm pretty d--- excited for new Mayday, despite the average - ish single (wasn't too bad, but nothing amazing either)
- I feel about the same about Malta Bend: Some decent songs and then a bunch of duds
- I didn't know he made that much off of features lol, but some good verses have come from it so all good
- I actually really liked Strangeulation (does anyone have the cypher mixed together?) and yeah, looking forward to all future Tech albums
- Beast is a pretty good workout song, and one of the best off the OST imo. Really like WATROA and KND too
- there were some decent songs off Something Else, but it's got a lot of crap.
So yeah, hope to see you post more mate

h--- yeah I was thinking about the songs on Special Effects and honestly believe there is not one "bad" song. There are weak points and parts of songs I don't like and would love someone to edit a few of them. Some songs have grown on me, while others have dropped a little. I dont have time for an in depth review however lets take a look...

Aw Yeah---Awesome intro, would not expect anything less from Tech album opener. Rarely Skip (9/10)

Lacrimosa---f---ing wonderful. When the beat changes into the verses...my gawd my ears. Sometimes I do not feel like sticking around for the whole chorus even though it sounds beautiful, it can be a little overwhelming. Rarely Skip. (9/10) (10/10 if the chorus was shorter and 3rd verse)

On the Bible---Perfect. Top 3 track on the album. TI can chop? h--- yeah. Zuse on the hook kills it. Tech slaughters it. Beat it massive. 10/10 never skip

Shroud---Black as eva like shabba/thick and oozing like lava...the verses, the beat, the deep voice this is dark tech at his finest. f---ing love the verses, love Kalikos hook, however my biggest gripe with the album is his lack of 3 verses on any of the top tracks on this album. Once again the hook can be too long for me sometimes. never skip the first verse but may skip the chorus. (9.5/10) (10/10 if the chorus was shorter and 3rd verse)

Psycho b---- 3---2nd least favorite song on the album when it first came out. Not sure where I would place it. The beat is a little overkill, but his verses are pretty sweet with a good flow. Don;t care for Hopsin honestly. It has grown on me a little. I skip it about half the time. (6.5/10)

Wither---Was my least favorite song on the album when it came up just because I do not like screamo/hardcore stuff but the more i listen the more I like it. The hook(s) once again are a little long for me. Skip it sometimes. (8/10)

Hood Go Crazy---You either love it or hate it. I hated it when it first came out. I enjoy it now a lot more for what it is. Why idk it grew on me and 2 chainz verse has an oddly catchy flow. Skip sometimes. (7/10)

Bass Ackwards-Thought this song was going to blow a---. It has its ups and downs. Tech and especially Wayne (surprisingly) are the only 2 verses I really like. Yo gotti sucks and never been a fan of scoob unfortunately. Need an edited version of just the good parts so I dont have to skip it all the time. (7.5/10) Just wayne and Tech (8.5/10)

No K---Better than expected. Really enjoy the beat and E-40's verse and flow. Fun song but once again a 3rd verse would have been stellar. rarely skip (8/10)

Now onto the best parts of the album

Speedom---I have already written my opnions on this track. I f---ing love it. 10/10 they all k--- it. Krizz>Em>Tech IMO. Some people do not like the beat and I feel sorry for them cuz g.d. I have listened to this song every single day since release.

Give it All---f---ing dope. No idea who Audio Push is but I really enjoy their verses and the chorus is so smooth I love it. Never skip (9.5/10)

Yates---Nice verses and beat but absolute trash chorus I just cant handle it. Someone please get me a version without the chorus! (7/10) minus the chorus (9/10)

A certain Comfort---Once again an incredible song. 10/10 even though it could do with a 3rd verse. Just pure beautiful Music

Burn it Down---g.d. song gives me chills. I cannot decide whether this or Speedom is my top track. It is near perfection if only a 3rd verse 11/10 though

Life Sentences---This is a weird one since it comes after such great songs and just seems like an "extra track". It is very good on its own ad enjoy the other rappers verses even though I don't really know who they are...lol never skip though. 8/10

Dyin flyin---Didnt really like this track when it dropped but it grew on me. Verses are sick but once again too much chorus. 8/10

Worldy Angel---9.5/10. The beat is wonderful and it is classic emotional Tech. Rarely skip

Roadkill---Great album ender haha I did not see this coming but I freaking love his flow on this song but once again not enough rapping Kali killed it too. (8/10)

Young Dumb Full of Fun---Really liked this song when it first dropped but now ehhhh it gets kind of boring and repetitive. Rarely bump anymore. 7/10

Anti---(7/10) Minus the intro and chorus this song would be even better 8/10

Pros:
Production-BIG TIME, I mean IMO this is his best produced album like seriously perfect. Seven is out of control. highly underrated. Kanye who?
Every verse is so well crafted
IMO not nearly as many throwaway tracks as previous albums (if any?). That was my previous biggest gripe.
Good mix of types of songs. Chopping, partying, emotional, motivational, gangsta, dark, rock, you name it boys
Lastly, the g.d. energy that can be felt in this album. I mean it is incredible, someone please name a rapper that can bring this amount of energy and passion into a project.

Cons:
Even though the verses that are there are well crafted and excellent, some songs could greatly benefit from another verse. Which leads to the next con
Hook/chorus overkill on some tracks. Instead of having a long a--- chorus finish a song or take up 3/4th's, put another verse in haha. The choruses that are there are wonderful though.

Great review lol, better than some in the section

I don't have time to do one myself, but I'll just state the pros and cons for me.

Pros
- production is amazing, easily the best on a Tech album.
- no filler songs (arguments could be made for Hood Go Crazy but that depends on taste)
- more Krizz (personal)

Cons
- basically every song could do with another verse from Tech (I have no problem with the long hooks, but 2 verses? Geez)
- the MTMD skit is kinda dumb. But I got rid of it, so there's no real detriment, but it felt like he just put it in to divide the sections like with the other skits
- the bridge of Dykn Flyin is a bit over e top
