Hardly even care about a new Tech album at this point and I used to be a huge fan. I've hardly even checked out his last few. Think I'm pretty much done with his new stuff too, maybe I'll get excited again if he takes his time on one in the future and has stuff to talk about.

Tech considers himself an elite emcee. Well there is nothing elite about this album. Elite emcees don't release garbage like this.

So yeah ive tried to listen to this album again. Hasnt grown on me. I think I actually hate it more. Horrible album

I'm also starting to get over the new s---. And here I thought I was just getting old and grown up. I guess he is just falling off. I think it all started with 2012 EPs with the exception of the song Alone. I loved Fragile and SOTG but it's all filler. SE is on on first listen but doesn't have any songs that make you want to hit repest over and over. They're all forgettable.

@Krazee D , so is strangeulation 2 even worth listening to really? I assume Tech's just got 1 verse on most songs like usual for these collab albums?

Yeah you're right he started to fall off a little after Welcome To Strangeland.
To me, Tech was in his prime from 99-06, then he started to go for quantity more, sacrificing quality after Everready, and his rapping style changed a little especially after Vintage Tech/Everready. But he was still great from 07-11 (minus GMP & Strange Days Tour CD in 2010) and then started to fall off some in 2012...

I'm with you man. The last album that I really enjoyed was All 6's and 7's. Welcome to Strangeland was pretty good too, but since then nothing has really pulled me in. He just keeps making the same songs over and over again at this point.

Tech needs different producers. I'm Seven'd out. Special Effects was his best produced s--- in a while, but I'm getting tired of him. Plus he makes a lot of beats for the other Strange artists. Just too much Seven. All 6's & 7's had a bunch of different producers, including some bigger named ones, and that was probably his best produced album the last 4 years.
And I love most of Tech's rock s---, but it seems he's gone even more rock oriented since 2012. I want more rap s---. More rap beats. More/longer verses. Needs to take his time more.

I've said this before but tech needs to take 3-4 years off. Take his time with a album. Then just walk away. There is no "need" for a tech album. He drops something like every 6 months. The wait from absolute power to everready was long but so worth it.

I know, Chuck D is 55, Em is 43, KRS is 50 and list goes on and on... but why he have to waist any time? If he want to release 2 albums a year he will do this. He won't make another Absolute Power or Everready etc. It's always gonna be something different than last album

I'm saying he needs to take time. He records a album in like two weeks. He has it in him to sit down and make a great album. But he just rushes through everything.

Lol normally I'd say 2 weeks is an exaggeration but he literally did this album in 2 weeks and it shows.

I still don't hate this album enough to say that it's worse than gmp lol, but it's still extremely unforgettable and I won't be relistening to the majority of it. I do still really like mackenzie's song though

Well there was a slight move towards pop rap in special effects, with burn it down and a certain comfort. Those were also great songs. I'm not particularly against it, I just want the songs he makes to be good lol
