Jan 19, 2016 Cmon bruh your better than this, give the full album a few proper spins before you form an opinon, i thoroughly enjoy 'Kissland' but BBTM is an amazing album, his first 3 mixtapes will never be touched but BBTM is still brilliant for what it is and has earned him world wide fame which is something kissland was never going to do.
Jan 19, 2016 All good, I won't condemn you for that opinion but Kissland is not very good. BBTM has more of a Toronto influence on it and I feel like you don't like that sound much.
Jan 19, 2016 Personally, I don't really care which album has the most crossover appeal. BBTM is just better music.
Jan 19, 2016 No doubt, it was. It's definitely a crossover attempt, but it's done the right way from a fan's perspective. It had songs like Acquainted for the older fans, and songs like the Hills to capture the new fans. Granted, it still had airballed joints like Losers which sets it apart from the better R&B projects of the year (Jeremih, Miguel) but it's still a good album, and much better than his debut. My knock on Kissland is that it's a failed attempt to appease to a wider market. Kiss Land was confused and surface deep, among other things. I haven't heard it since this past summer, and then the week it dropped before then, but the Drake collab comes to mind as an example. That's why I said that I wish BBTM was the album he made when he originally released his debut.
Jan 24, 2016 I think I still do too. BBTM has definitely grown on me as most Weeknd projects do but Kissland is so great. The first 5 tracks >>>>
Jan 26, 2016 Do y'all really think Mirrors is by him? This first listen like it sounds like his voice but doesn't really don't get me wrong s--- is f---ing live but, it doesn't feel like him. and maybe the only song I can actually say, imo, is trying to hard to sound like trilogy
