JR's coming back to Mania and willing be calling Goldberg/Lesnar, sweet!!



As noted, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross will return to WWE TV to call a match at WrestleMania 33. PWInsider.com has confirmed Ross will call the Brock Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg bout at the PPV.


Ross reportedly signed a new WWE deal which will see him used for material on the WWE Network and occasional appearances on WWE TV to call matches. No word yet on how often Ross will appear on TV.

The new deal was offered and signed before Ross’ wife Jan passed away earlier this month, perhaps as long as 5 weeks ago.

Same. I marked so f---ing hard when their music hit. I'm really hoping the Broken gimmick makes a return at some point. Probably not until the lawsuit ends though. Also Taker at the end of WM had me so choked up. When he left his gear in the ring and kissed his wife it really hit me. And man did him sitting up and falling over break my heart. I just knew it was over at that point.

So I may have overreacted when I said this was one of the best Manias (or whatever I said) because it definitely isn't. Not enough high caliber stuff. But it was very consistent and enjoyable throughout. No real duds besides the Bray and Randy match. I got what I expected out of the majority of the card and nothing felt like a sludge to sit through (except Taker/Reigns just cause of the cringe, match itself was passable)

AJ vs Shane was the best match on the card because AJ is the best wrestler in the world and it showed. Shane did a rather poor job wrestling but he executed the spots and bumps they had planned perfectly. Obviously they choreographed the s--- out of this. Crazily enough, this had a big match feel.

Jericho and KO was kind of just there. Not enough fanfair and emotion given the excellent build. Could've used a stipulation

The RAW fatal fourway women's match was good. I thought if anything it was booked really well with the eliminations and finish. Corkscrew moonsault was unbelievable as always.

Ladder match was obviously amplified due to the biggest surprise and pop of the night.

Same ol Cena shtick with his match. Pass

Rollins and Triple H was good. Should've, could've been better but good. This was one of the few times were I thought overbooking the ending segment would've helped the match. But they went with a clean cut pin and it worked fine. Steph's table bump was one of the highlights of the night

The Smackdown title match was lame. I honestly wouldn't have cared that Randy was going over-- the storyline practically called for him to win --but the fact that this was another feud of Bray claiming to be so strong and scary (and this time actually having a reason), just to have him lose in this fashion is so moronic. Oh well

The Universal title match was very exciting.

The women's six pack challenge was really mediocre. not much to say it just wasn't that good.

Reigns and Taker was very meh
