Mar 20, 2015 I don't think people realize how rare and impressive it is to even have 3 classics in a row. Like 4+ classics in a row.. Who else has done that besides The Beatles? Maybe Led Zeppelin? Pink Floyd? You can count them on one hand.

Mar 20, 2015 i said artists seldom progress linearly. some get better--many do. (hip-hop has a long tradition of artists who top out on album one or two, though). linear progression = not what kanye/doom/jay did.
Mar 20, 2015 Wrong. Graduation is definitely a classic and arguably his 2nd best album. Also I'm curious which Eminem album you feel isn't a classic? Because MMLP and TES most certainly are. With Kendrick S.80 is debateable, and it's probably too early to call tpab a classic (seems like you aren't going to anytime soon based on your review)

Mar 20, 2015 Oh I thought you did lol my bad. I think TES is a classic, there's only 1 or 2 skippable songs on the album, and em is at his peak lyrically and flow-wise.
Mar 20, 2015 i did back on RB--i think TES it was even with MMLP. i've made a concerted effort to listen to eminem's first three records over the past couple of years and TES has aged very poorly.
