Did you watch the show though? The 6 man tag matches were not necessary, not bad matches but skip worthy.
The rest of the show was very good, booking and match placement on card = 10/10. Looking forward to tonight's show.

I did watch the show. I wouldn't consider it 10/10 though.

Dissapointed Shibata lost in Day 2. Had him in the finals. Gotta root for Ibushi to beat Naito and then probably Goto, but they'll probably give it to Goto since he's like Mr. NJC

The matches they booked, the order they put them in and the overall booking was 10/10 IMO. Even though this was just a Day 1 show for the tournament I thought they did a great job with all the singles matches. Not to mention that a large portion of their gaijin roster was not there, no title matches and their 3rd biggest star was in a 6 man. It's great to see a company with limited roster on a B show put together an entertaining WRESTLING show that makes sense...too often I find myself watching poorly booked WWE PPV's that barely delivers entertainment wise, let alone wrestling wise.

El Hijo Del Perro Aguayo died during a match with Rey Mysterio

ragedy struck the Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion wrestling promotion Friday night in Tijuana, Mexico, as popular luchador El Hijo del Perro Aguayo died after suffering an injury in a match against former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio.

According to Mike Coughlin of F4WOnline, the son of Mexican wrestling legend Perro Aguayo went limp while on the ropes in position to take Mysterio's 619 finishing maneuver. It is unclear what caused the incident, but the 35-year-old star was treated by medical personnel before being transported to a hospital, where he was ultimately pronounced dead.

Friday night's match was supposed to be a celebration, as Mysterio just recently returned to AAA for the first time since 1997 after parting ways with WWE. Unfortunately, it turned into something far more tragic.

El Hijo del Perro Aguayo was among the most decorated AAA stars in recent memory as a three-time Mexican National Tag Team champion as well as a former Mexican National Light Heavyweight champion and Mexican National Atomicos champion.

There is no question that El Hijo del Perro Aguayo was among the most popular and successful luchadores in Mexico, and he will undoubtedly be missed.

@Balzter , just saw I have the destination america channel and got ROH set to record on the DVR. Is this a hour each week I assume? Didn't even know they were coming back to TV then just happened to hear about it today. Hopefully it's a good show.

Yeah news broke out earlier this week and its very embarrassing for TNA. For years TNA tried to be the WWE and pretty much treated ROH like the company that didn't matter (fans too) but now they are on the same channel AND night as them.
ROH is basically #2 now...TNA's contract ends in September.

    :'(

I saw there was a TNA show right after the ROH show but assumed it was a repeat or something, didn't realize their new episodes are on the same channel now lol.

Good for ROH though, they deserve it over TNA anyways.
