Strongly disagreed. I haven't seen many if any Kdot fans act snobby over this particular record. If anything J Cole fans are the ones who've gotten super duper snobby, acting like he's the living breathing Pac with those memes saying how it takes a special kind of intelligence to vibe to his music. The people I know that f---s with TPAB album don't try to impose their opinion on it.

Furthermore why not let the art just be the art? Don't you think you're grasping at straws a bit for letting the response to the art ruin the actual project? I certainly wouldn't let anyone else's opinion affect mine...

    So true about Cole fans.

To the op I don't love this album, I think it's very overrated. It's great tho.. I can see that. But the. You got people calling it a classic.. Idk bout all that. His first two were better imo

Really?? I mean it's a great album I just think section 80 is a little better but GKMC is flawless to me. I don't disrespect your opinion though it's like choosing between Kobe lebron and Michael

that goes both ways, im more or less interested in why you see it how you do tbh, i like picking the brain fof others to further understand how ones brain picks up on music.

i think gkmc is a classic, in every sense of the word, and if one could be close to tpab it would be this one

but i dont see the s80 album being anywhere near it, sonically, cohesively, or at all in general...

i think tpab, tho overrated is something rap in general needed and tbh, im kind of blown away by how little it sold

    (no flame wars)

but i think it shows whos fans are loyal/real, i think kendrick delivered on one of the best most cohesive hiphop/funk albums in the past decade and the "fans" really let him down.

I 100% agree with your last point. The album structure and consistently is phenomenal..

GKMC to me is legit the peak of a concept album. It's truly brilliant in my eyes. Also it's sonic value is through the roof (something TPAB lacks in my eyes-however that's very opinionated). Section 80 just has those few standout tracks that blow me away, all while being conceptually brilliant and consistent and most of all incredibly original. It was so cool to me to see his growth from OD to S80. But again this is all my opinion, I don't think it's at all crazy that you find TPAB better. Simply a matter of taste/relatabilty to me!

You get crazys in every fan group. Look at some of the people who post in the Eminem section. TPAB as a whole is a very good album. I haven't quite formed an opinion on it. Gotta live with it a little more. But I like it. King Kunta Bangs.
EDIT: That being said, I prefer GKMC

I feel you on that Facebook statement but one thing one noticed those are the half a--- new fans that say s--- like that. Jcole fans and Kendrick fans. They aren't really fans. It's embarrassing seeing that intelligence comment and meme lol go to the chat thread and you'll see what I mean

Kendrick Lamar's fanbase is like a religion. They don't worship Kendrick, they worship hating those who don't follow K-Dot's "realness" to a T. They are the atheists of the rap community.

    But that's just C-Wizzy talking that boo-boo.

I can agree completely with this sentiment. Nothing induces a harder cringe than people thinking they have superior taste in music than you because they refuse to enjoy anything unless it has a political or cultural message behind it. Bro if people like it they like it, if they don't they don't. I dont need to read a dissertation about why my ears should agree with a certain album.

I been riding the Kendrick wave since people were asking me "WHO? KEndrick La who?" when his first mixtape under the moniker Kendrick Lamar dropped, and then the O.D, and then Section 80, and GKMC. I can honestly say TPAB has by far the lowest replay value for me. Not cuz I'm a Young Thug stan, but because I sonically enjoy the other material far more. Sorry bout it.

I wouldn't call them snobby. They just really support his music ...his fans better go hard for him.....I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. His fans are confident in him and his music ..I think you are just hating here. As fans, theyre doing what they're supposed to do. If you like it you like it, if you don't you dont.

Really it's all just opinion and aparrently we have freedom of speech in America so people are going to say what they want but i honestly don't think you should let that deter you from the album (Opinion)
