    I had a chance to see this early at a special screening. Trust me it is as good as it looks. Had a boner the entire time. Leo should def at least get another nomination and hardy kills it too. It's a pretty brutal movie so be prepped. The ending is also straight GOAT.

    d---, i honestly thought this movie was boring, it's slow af, i'd give it a 6/10
    Hateful Eight, Creed, Legend and In The Heart of the Sea leaked in HD too.

    ok so this was incredible and Hateful 8 was a letdown?

    good, because I thought this was a letdown so maybe Hateful 8 will be right up my alley :allears:

    cinematography makes up like half the movie, absolutely incredible. the absolute rawness of everything Leo did throughout the movie was astounding also, from eating raw meat to sleeping naked inside a dead horse..

    the versatility of Leo's acting is truly astounding comparing this to his last movie (TWOWS).

    a few areas were a bit dull but after the bear scene, you're pretty much rooting for Leo's survival the rest of the movie and the ending is very fulfilling

    uhm, the revenant isn't even out and there's a screener out so that absolutely constitutes for "great quality"

    Nah lol. As I said in the FlickYou thread, there are a lot of good things. I'd go see it again if it ends up coming to town.

    You don't seem to have the same sensitivity to "experience" films that I do, so your opinion on The Revenant isn't surprising. It's definitely not for everybody.

    Yeah, Revenant left me feeling the same way, say, Gravity did. I loved the experience of watching both in theaters, but they didnt give me enough in terms of character development, plot, etc.

    Revenant is better than Gravity though, for sure. I was just expecting more. It seemed almost pointless to me by the end. I cant wait to read all the indepth pieces about Revenant supposed commentary on the nature of man and blah blah blah tho :)

    I feel you. I figured it was going to be Inarritu doing his best Malick impression from the first trailer, so I got exactly what I was expecting.

    So jealous you got to see this in theaters :sadpepe:
