I dk guys..after the train wreck of the last movie I dk if I'd want to watch anymore. I pretend that the series ended with saw 6. I was a HUGE fan of these films growing up. I wouldn't mind revisiting them at some point to see how I still feel about them

Saw 1 is a great, great movie and absolutely the best in the saw series imo. Too many people sleep on it. Especially saw movie fanatics tbh.

Saw 7 was pretty disappointing but it's partly cuz they tried to cram a few movies into 1, also the 3D idea was stupid and probably changed how they decided to make it. I just feel like they weren't able to stick with what they wanted to do for this movie so that's probably why it was messed up.

I did like a few scenes of it though, Hoffman was great.

    I hated how they
brought back Dr Gordon and tried to make it look like he had been involved since thw beginning. I had been waiting for that reveal since Saw 2 and I just felt it to be quite underwhelming. Not to mention as the series went on they just kept adding randI'm characters to,further the story. They definitely put themselves in a spot when they killed off Jigsaw so early on

it felt underwhelming because the diehards figured out the connection after Saw II. so after it being so long, it just wasn't such a huge reveal. plus when it was revealed he'd be back in the new one, we all knew he'd have more than just a cameo

I wish they wouldn't have put so much emphasis on twist endings. after 7 movies you just kinda expect it. Takes away from it more than it adds to it imo

the twist in saw VI was pretty cool.

the whole story kind of hinting that the mother and son were the insurance guy's family, when really it was the other chick that was his sister. I mean it kind of became more obvious as the movie went on, but it was great

lol it shows how twisty and complex the movies are when you have to spoiler tag every other post

hoffman was always a great character. the way he escaped in saw VI was smart and really well planned.

I've forgotten so much of these movies. I need to re visit them to have a proper convo about them. I remember being utterly confused with how
3,4 and 5 were all happening at once (if my memory serves me correctly)

Are you talking about the very end of the movie? If so holy s--- I loved that,
him bashing his hand to escape and then the very last scene being the trap opening as he just barely got it in the door, such a bad a--- ending. It had me so hyped for saw 7.

yeah for real thought he was done. I thought that was it for his character (aside from maybe flashbacks). one of my favourite endings. Saw VI as a whole was fantastic. Big step up from Saw V.

which ending are you used to/like better? the one where jill closes the door and activates the beartrap, or the one where the trap is connected with that pullswitch that the teen pulled? I personally like the switch one better. hoffman actually had a bit of a chance that way (aside from how he actually got out).

and god d--- the scream. In theatres I was soooooo happy. And especially pumped for the next. Unfortunately the next wasn't as great but I didn't hate it as much as other people did

I probably liked the ending more where Jill activated it just cuz I felt like that made more sense. I honestly don't remember hardly anything about the plot in 6 involving the secondary characters, I'll have to go watch the whole movie again. I just watched the ending again now and didn't even get that twist lol. d--- me and my stoner memory. :blunt:

What did you guys think was the most disappointing ending of the series?
I thought the endings of 4 and 5 were both not that exciting, 4 wasn't a surprise that Hoffman was involved although I did love that 3 and 4 took place at the same time. 5 was okay but I don't know, I never cared much for the Peter Strham character for some reason lol.

idk I didn't expect the ending of four, tbh. thought it was great. they cut the main reveal out of the DVD version which pisses me off (which shows the straps being undone). final version just shows him standing over the dude on the ground. I'd have to say 5 or 7 were disappointing in terms of the ending. I mean the endings themselves were neat but they weren't huge twists like the others

@rapmusik @lilgriffey84 @ anyone else who's interested, they officially started production on the next Saw movie, called legacy. There's a rumored release date of Oct 27 2017, if they go by their usual schedule that'd make sense.

There's a possible spoiler about the movie in the article as well, could be a pretty crucial piece of info. Photo in the spoiler tag below as well.

Basically it's not confirmed the pics are legit from the set, but if they are then they say it's showing John's grave dug up and coffin sticking out, so why they dug it up is a mystery. Is there maybe a rumor that Jigsaw's alive and didn't really die? Or is someone digging it up for other reasons? Could be an interesting part of the story of the next movie.

I assume they're gonna do Gordon/Hoffman as part of the story too, I'm f---in hyped for this..d---.

After the first one they never recaptured that magic again but the series had some great moments and a decent storyline and some good memories of watching the later ones at the movies laughing our heads off and just f---ing around at the cinema.
