May 1, 2016I agree MMLP doesn't age that well, a lot of dated references and also just the whole trying to say edgy stuff to cause controversy thing seems so forced/lame now looking back at it.

It's really weird to me how poorly eminem's music has aged. Been listening to it lately and I feel weird listening to some of it. It's just so weird to hear a man act like a rebellious petulant 10 year old in 2016 in such an overt manner. Although, I can still look past it to some extent in some songs and enjoy them regardless. They still have their endearing qualities here and there. Maybe mostly nostalgia based but whatever. I mean they definitely do... it's just tough for them to outweigh how outdated the music is.
Been listening to Remember Me lately a lot tho. Classic song. Dat energyLast edited: May 2, 2016Groovy Tony, furface, dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl and 2 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

It's so crazy how the 2000's changed my perception of Ghostface, too.
I used to think everyone in Wu were basically equals, and it was pretty hard to pick a favorite or a best member.
I always considered GZA or Raekwon as the best, but Inspectah Deck was my favorite, because he always had my favorite verses on 36 Chambers and Wu Forever, and I might be one of like 10 people who liked The Movement album lol. Plus, you had Methodman with Tical, Tical 2 and Blackout with Redman, plus he was on tons of huge collaborations in the 90's and early 2000's.
But, man, Ghostface really has solidified himself as the top Wu artist, from a solo standpoint. I mean, maybe you could argue for Raekwon, but I don't think it's that close anymore. And it's wild because it's happened in most artists' most unappealing time periods (late 30's/40's). Also, Pretty Toney Album gets overlooked.Ordinary Joel, DKC, Lamont and 2 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

It's an unavoidable, undisputed classic in the world's second-biggest rap market. It defined and directed a specific era of sound.
