Explain to me how Be had more of an impact on rap than YG's album did? I love Be, but it's just not the case.
Be real Perry: In your heart of hearts, there are like two Eminem albums in your top 20.

Is it such a shame to like the 99/03 Eminem? :khaled:

I'd say the vintage Kanye West production was a huge factor at the time and Common being one of the first proper conscious mainstream rappers to hit the scene an important influence for future artists like Kendrick, Chance, Lupe, G Herbo, etc.

Not denying MKL's influence for modern West Coast sound but I can't recall too many Hip Hop acts trying to emulate his style (tho I'm certainly a bit ignorant about the subject)

I mean in his list for the last 16 years.
I like that you're raising h--- about one album being one and two spots, respectively, ahead of two other albums that I basically had to beat you over the head to appreciate. Remember when you thought Recovery was better than Dark Fantasy? Remember when you got into the Clipse in 2012?

Me: Posts a list with a handful of albums Perry's never heard and a couple of pretty curious choices--Marci over Kendrick, one Woods album over the other, etc
Perry: Young Thug? Blasphemy! Let me tell you about the greatness of an album I used to hate

Interesting order, was expecting more like:

    1. Blueprint
    2. Madvillainy / Donuts
    3. Supreme Clientele
    4. MBDTF
    5. Rich g---

Also @WPG you know where I could get a download of Ghetto Stories? Can't find it anywhere.

I suggest you to use Soulseek, they have it there

    https://www.slsknet.org/news/user/register

Make an account first and then download it

    https://www.slsknet.org/news/node/1

It's a P2P type of software (eMule, Vuze, etc.), really useful

    Thanks man!
I appreciate it but I already checked soulseek and all the copies I tried to download just leave me queued indefinitely.

Common released his debut album in 1992 so how Nas was around before him?

Ice Cube wasn't a conscious rapper

Outkast didn't drop their debut until 1994, same with Nas

Chuck D and 2Pac indeed came before him, that's why I said "one of the first"

Can I Borrow A Dollar was released in 1992

have you even heard an ice cube song??

That album was far from mainstream, didn't even crack the top 50, and were talking about Be which came out in 2005

    stop talking outta ur a---
