The zombie apocalypse part of the show is more believable than someone actually dumping that for Sasha. -

Agreed. The cliffhangers wouldn't be such a problem if they knew how to follow them up correctly. This season especially, they are terrible at it.. It's like they love to set up a cliffhanger, and then they forget to address it. Or they do it in such a way where they got you excited all for nothing.
Glenn fake death -- THREE episodes later, quick scene of walkers clearing and him being fine
Rick's group is walking through the hoard of walkers carefully while covered in walker guts, then Jessie's kid says "Mom?!" -- suddenly everyone is fine and into a safe clearing
Daryl shot by Dwight -- a full hour into the next episode, he's a little bloody under a blankie
I'm sure there's more I missed. :/
Edit: Oh and this one, wikipedia reminded me:
Rick kills the group at the RV, but the shot-up RV won't start as the walker herd begins surrounding it. His hand is also wounded (possibly bitten, infected?)
Next episode: Rick is running away from the walkers... his hand is never addressed nor how he escaped the hoard.
An example of a good and effective cliffhanger is when the episode ends as the church tower collapses on the alexandria wall. Simple, gives you the "wtf is gonna happen next" feeling.Last edited: Apr 5, 2016Dec 18, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) -

That whole scene with Nicholas saying thank you, shooting himself, then knocking Glenn into the walkers would have been so perfect if Glenn died. I love Glenn and like that he's still on the show, but that was the most dramatic and heartstopping moment (no way will Glenn survive all these walkers).. and Steven Yeun's acting was amazing, as if his guts were being eaten out

If anything, they could have left it up in the air, and showed Glenn as a walker the following week, ensuring that he did die, that would have been crazy sad and believable (he gets bit by the hoard several times, struggles to get away, does, then eventually turns before he can find help)
But to make him survive it and the walkers just clear out.. and he escapes, bite- and death-free.. still disappointed :/ -

pretty much, i came across a in depth summary of the scene.
"This was the unfortunate owner of Edison’s Apothecary and her young son, whom we saw in earlier pictures under the counter. When the zombie apocalypse hit, they were trapped in the store. At first it seemed like a blessing. The walkers couldn’t get through the plywood some early responders nailed onto the front of all the stores in the strip mall. But days turned into weeks and no further help came.
The cries of her child kept the walkers right at their door, clawing and hissing as they tried to get in. The more he cried, the more they came. His cries agitated them. Every time it seemed like they’d leave he would cry and they returned, banging against the front of the store with renewed ferocity.
She tried to calm the child, keep it quiet. But they had run out of food. There was something wrong with the baby… Did he have an infection? He barely slept. He threw tantrums and screamed and screamed. She tried to hush him, hush hush sleep now my baby sleep and be quiet and the monsters will go. And then… what? But it didn’t matter what, there was never enough silence, and the herd outside seemed to grow day by day.
In the end she couldn’t take the screaming, from the living or the dead. The baby was hot. She tried to cool him in the sink but he thrashed and screamed, his skin was red and irritated. The endless banging from outside continued to grow louder until she was sure this was it, they’d break through today or tonight and devour them both. Hush, child. Hush. She pushed him deeper into the water. Hush. Be silent and we can go. Hush. Hush. HUSH. HUSH. HUSH."asvdawg, Ordinary Joel, missy and 3 others like this. -

I thought it was an act too. Parts of it defintely was, but in the end, like I said, Morgan is rubbing off on her. And she clearly saw some of herself in her captor.asvdawg, Meero, Ordinary Joel and 3 others like this. -

WATCHING GLENN KILLING HIS FIRST HUMAN NOOOOO
when the writers keep foreshadowing.. was it necessary to have him look at those pictures??
anyone else feel like they're actually doing /too/ much foreshadowing? you'd think they want it to be a surprise, by the time of the finale it would be so... idk. it would still hurt like h--- but this s--- is cruel
