Normally long Weeknd projects are the norm. However on this album it's long, with a lack of variety in sound. I feel like the songwriting on this is very basic. Starboy is The Weeknd in his most simplest form, but because of that it makes it a boring listen throughout. The guest features didn't really bring much to their tracks. Stargirl Interlude would've been a favorite for me if Lana Del Rey wasn't on it (Then again I'm not a Lana Del Rey fan so maybe that's not fair for me to speak on that). Future on Six Feet Under was extremely annoying and unnecessary. Could've easily just had Abel continue the hook on that. All I Know and Low Life are just too similar to one another, thing is I like Low Life much more, so I kinda don't see much reason to listen All I Know. Abel's autotune use on Sidewalks is so pointless and more annoying than anything. Kendrick's verse on that track doesn't help it either. Take him off of it and add another verse from Abel and I'd be for it.

The first six tracks on Starboy I like, though I'd move either Rockin or Secrets around on the tracklist. They're very similar so them being back to back is very redundant. I do like those two tracks quite a bit though. I like Die For You, and I Feel It Coming as well. Overall though, I do not see myself going back to this album much. Mainly because I know songs like Rockin and Secrets (even though I like them) will get very stale, very fast. The same can be said for this whole album honestly.

he should've cut some tracks off and make it 12-14 tracks lp

This album is fire! Way better than his last two efforts. It is not nearly as good as Trilogy but it's different and IMO there are some timeless songs on here. So far these are my feelings on a few tracks.

Sidewalks (not feeling the auto tune or the Kendrick verse)
Six Feet Under (Is there two different versions of this song?. The one that leaked sounds way different. )
Love to Lay and A Lonely Night are fire. I like the dance feel of these and the old school funk vibe
