I'm not the biggest fan of trap music, but I also wasn't the biggest fan of T.I. or Jeezy either. I respected them though, and I respect the trap phase, even if it's not my personal taste. I'd love to get into it and become a fan of these artists, because I feel I'm missing out, but it's just not my type of music.

Just like how I'm not into Hopsin/Tech N9ne and that whole sub-genre too.

There's always going to be redundancy in hip hop, whether it's trap, or over-complicating rhyme schemes and story telling.

Once an artist does it with success, usually there's a sub-genre that follows, or the mainstream ends up running with it.

That's like the whole over saturation of punch lines and wordplays, left over from the mix tape scene of the early to mid 2000's.

s--- is still going on today, and I find that more annoying than "trap" beats or influences.

I really dont like that wave of trap beats, i tried to listen but its just not my thing.

The only thing i'm getting sick is hearing people saying that they like and know hip hop music just because they listen to Future, Wiz Khalifa, etc. Here in Brazil this s--- is starting to annoy me.
