Mar 19, 2015 Half of the songs on MBDTF (if not more) are better than all of TPAB. Come on. Don't even call me a kanye stan because I like Kendrick just as much
Mar 20, 2015 The r-----ed posts from both sides of this debate are off the charts. For the record, I think it's very possible that @Koolo might be correct, even though I don't think TPAB will ever top MBDTF for me personally (and this is coming from someone who gave TPAB a 9.4). It's pretty disappointing to me that so many people here can't like both Ye and Kendrick, because youre missing out on great music regardless of who you're dickriding. I guess the new fruitless false-dichotomy has shifted from Wayne vs Em to Em vs Ye to Ye vs Kendrick Gonna take a break from TPAB for a few days and give Mr. Wonderful the attention it deserves, cuz both the unfounded hate and uncritical dickriding is really getting awful.
Mar 20, 2015 Honestly to me it's almost just a matter of taste to determine which is better, so I can't be mad people feel differently. Time will tell both are classics Edit: to put in context: I think MBDTF is the greatest hip hop album of all time. Kanye and Kendrick being my two favorite artists
Mar 20, 2015 MBDTF has bars like "Have you ever had sex with a Pharaoh? Put the p---- in a sarcophagus" and "Choke a South Park writer with a fish d-ck" Corny lines doesn't detract from the albums weight.
Mar 20, 2015 Drake is pretty clearly more relevant than Kanye or Kendrick. Even if the latter get higher praise from critics or have more rabid internet militia. Fighting over second place as far as the big picture goes. Which is fine because Yeezus and TPAB weren't even aiming for that spotlight anyway. @BigCountry
Mar 20, 2015 This album is the definition of overrated. Yeah it has some good songs but its nothing close to being a classic or even the new standard. This album was a 7/10 for me. I honestly enjoy Mr. Wonderful a lot more than TPAB, but thats just me.
Mar 20, 2015 I need to listen to the album again before I decide how I feel Seems like it's gonna be the type of album with little replay value but I've only.played it once tbf ...
Mar 20, 2015 Men lie. Women lie. Numbers don't. Let's remember that the "Em vs. Wayne" era was a period where Eminem released absolute garbage before and after a hiatus and Lil Wayne began his musical descent that launched him to superstardom. At least Wayne's prime was somewhere around that point. Eminem had been propped up by sales alone since 2002. I could go on, but it's pretty clear that your prime doesn't really coincide with dominating the genre. Meanwhile, Drake just put out arguably one of his best projects while also dominating the charts. If u think Drake is just sales ur moar stupid. None of these guys are in my personal top 5. I have no allegiances.
Mar 20, 2015 I haven't listened to this album but if people are saying it's better than MBDTF, I'm intrigued. But then again you people are always wrong so this could go either way
Mar 20, 2015 http://www.metacritic.com/music/to-p-----a-butterfly/kendrick-lamar 95 higher than MBDTF as of now
Mar 20, 2015 Alright..Alright I'm going to step away, and wait for you to come off of your Kanye d-ck riding trip and back to earth. You're bias is clearly apparent and leaves me speechless. Clearly you didn't give this album a fair shot, or you haven't listened enough to TPAB to soak everything in. Yet another shitpost, and I'm not surprised. Those three examples you used to justify it? Foh fakket. Cant you see that the 2pac interview is imperative to the overall message and theme/concept of the album?! Take your big f---ing L and leave. Disclaimer: yes MBDTF is a fantastic album indeed, but TPAB is clearly the winner. It's just.. so much more. I can't really explain it.
Mar 20, 2015 my n----- enable profanity in your settings and i know people didnt give this album a fair shot when they quote that "get up and wash your a---" and forget just before that he quotes his grandma
Mar 20, 2015 Done. Yeah exactly. People need to learn to set aside their biases. Especially for an album like this.
