    they're all good the point is not to s--- them off for rehashing better artists (which both rocky and travis are currently doing in different ways)

    I agree

    Ftr I still think Travis has a lot of original material (see owl Pharaoh) but his Rodeo era has been him emulating other ATL artists, which I don't mind because the production is amazing and I'm pretty sure he's gonna switch it up after rodeo. If your gonna sound like other artists might as well get it out of the way at the beginning so you can flesh yourself out, y'know

    this isnt his beginning tho..which is what youve made sure ive known since i first met you lol

    he has projects under his belt..i guess its his "beginning" in the public's eye/mainstream appeal but he's regressing imo.

    The sound Rocky/Clams crafted with LiveLoveASAP is influenced by memphis/houston. A lot of what Travis does is imitating ATL. I know the line between influence and immitation can get blurred sometimes, but come on skippy, I know you're smart enough to see the difference between s--- like Antidote/Quintana 2 and LiveLoveASAP

    What happened to Rodeo being this new, never before "grunge rap" album that you and other travis fans were convinced that he was making? I thought he was done with trap after Days Before Rodeo and that was just an album full of throwaways not original enough to be on Rodeo?

    He just started 2 years ago at a professional level. One of those is truly original for the most part, OP, and the other is a plain great mixtape with clear ATL influences. What I'm saying is that he's clearly trying out the ATL sound and based off of OP and then his mediocre indie work, twists on new ATL sounds aren't the only thing he's capable of

    Both Drunk and 3500, production wise, are different from anything going on in ATL right now (with the exception of zaytovens additions in 3500), it's his delivery, primary his singing, that's being called into question as emulating ATL artists

    It's coproduced by metro and zaytoven, among others. It sounds like an Atlanta rap song. It's not a bad thing, it's just not groundbreaking or new.

    my favorite thing about it is that its still 6 mins of fire even when u take out all of travis's contributions to it (aside from him on the hook)
