Apr 7, 2017 Russia employed espionage to get Trump elected and to prevent other candidates to not to be elected. His staff had many contacts with russian officials and russian spies. There are multiple investigations to see if the Trump Campaign actually colluded with the Russians. This is separate issue. The Trump Administration has comfirmed that they told the Russian goverment about the missle strike before a lot of US Government officials and commities that should have been notified.
