Ok, ok we're getting some where here. If you've acknowledged that those policies (wall/Muslim ban) are total bs -- why would trump push for them? You think maybe...just maybe...they're apart of more broad white nationalist agenda? I mean, why else would he be pushing for policies that even you have admitted don't benefit the U.S.? Islamic terror is a real issue, but not anywhere near as much in america as in Europe. First of all Trump never suggested a permanent ban, but a temporary one in order to give time to improve the screening process for incoming immigrants. If Trump was in the UK it would make more sense, but i think he's either being an idiot or pandering to fear mongering conservatives.

As for the wall, the meaning behind this was a large part of why he won the election. The reason he gave for this was that the current border situation isn't enough to keep out illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants who don't pay taxes into the system but take up low paying jobs depriving Americans of jobs and lowering the demand (and thus the wage) for low income workers.

The wall is a bad idea because it's ridiculously expensive , will cost a massive shitload to maintain, and makes a lot of people his enemies. Trump's an idiot to think that it was ever reasonable.

He's a socialist pandering (or trying to) to the working class masses. Trump is a hardcore populist and hardcore nationalist ofc. But "White nationalist" is an entirely different accusation.

Banon claims to be a nationalist and not a white nationalist ("Claims") and seems to have had some influence on Trumps political worldview. That's probably why trump hired him.

A "temporary ban" that he continues to extend. He's extended it like 3 times now. He's pandering to the "fear mongering conservatives" that call middle easterns "towel heads" & "sand n*ggers." It's an xenophobic/racist policy that serves no legitimate purpose. You just admitted it yourself.

That's the reason he gave, we both know none of that is true. Net migration between the U.S.--Mexico is 0 & has been 0 for the past several years. The number of undocumented Mexican immigrants living in the U.S. has actually gone down in recent years. Americans typically don't want to the jobs undocumented immigrants have. Especially in the agricultural industry. None of those reasons are legitimate so why does he really want the wall?

Steve Bannon is a white nationalist. He was & still is the head of Breitbart. The fact that Trump chose him out of anybody to be his chief strategist, tells you he holds white nationalists beliefs.

Once again, racism today is not the same as it was 50 years ago. Richard Spencer isn't going to flip out if a black man is standing next to him. White-nationalist groups have changed their ways to become more mainstream and to gain more appeal.

On a select few unstable nations that are likely to export extremists. He didn't really ban "muslims" or even most of the middle east east. Just certain people from certain countries.

It's ineffective and solves a minimalist problem. It's not racist because islam isn't a race.

That's one of the biggest reasons he won the election. Not the wall idea but the populism behind it. So i think the people trump claims to be affected by this disagree with you.
