Apparently, the guy & that woman were partying in their hotel room, the guy idiotically thought it would good idea to take his pellet gun & hold it outside his hotel room window. Someone saw him & reported it to the cops. They came up & this is what transpired.

Shaun King is super cringeworthy. I can’t stand to even hear him talk.

@Michael Myers i think I described it pretty well earlier. I firmly believe this is a systematic issue. It’s less so the idea of their being “good cops & bad cops” but more so the idea of people joining the police force with good intentions but being trained/commanded to do terrible s---. I think this cop in particular is a bit of an exception — he clearly was blood thirsty. Again though, the way our law enforcement system is set up, it enables & even favors guys like this to join the police force. Just a couple days ago, where I live, there was an officer who was on the job for 4 days & he shot and killed an unarmed man suspected of carjacking. Him and several other officers were perusing this suspect & when he got out of his vehicle & tried to run on foot, the officer immediately pulled out his gun & shot him from the passenger seat of a cop car. Do I think this guy was blood thirsty? Maybe but probably not. He was just doing what he was trained to do & that’s the f----- up part.

What's everyone's beef with Shaun King? His work with The Intercept is alright. I've read some of his self published stuff as well. Didn't have a problem with it.

This isn’t what I said though? It’s less about the individual & more so about what they are trained & told to do. This instance is an exception. I’m going to blame law enforcement because they are the one’s allowing these incidents to occur without any action or self-reflection. Like I said, until this issue is addressed, police will continue to be viewed negatively. You can’t continue to unjustly k--- unarmed citizens, get away with it & expect the general public to look at you in a positive light.
