Mar 1, 2015 There's been very few athletes that I've seen in my life time that I can, they absolutely dominated the sport that they played in. Rousey is definitely up there with the Messi's, Mayweather's, ect. Who are just absolutely dominant.

Mar 1, 2015 I understand this women's division is relatively new and still growing but we have to also realize these are well accomplished women that Rousey is taking out with ease. I mean Cat was undefeated and is a purple belt in jiu-jitsu. Same with Meisha Tate and she got a silver in grappling in the Olympics. These aren't just chumps that Rousey's beating, these are well trained women who have won competitions. Rousey is simply on another level and just shrugging it off as "oh her division is weak" isn't giving her accomplishments justice.
Mar 1, 2015 Few notes from what I saw... Felt bad for Josh Koscheck. People say GSP is the "boring-est" fighter. The guy jab the h--- out of Kos' eye for 25 minutes. Now, Kos can't even actually have a decent fight without that eye bothering him. He kept rubbing it and lost his footing a bit and looked less confident. That is what you call permanent damage. GSP took the guy right out the game right there. If that's not scary then I don't know what is. I was with friends and right before the fight started I turned to my friend and said I got a bad feeling for Cat, it's not going to end well. 14 seconds later and it was over. I think her problem was that she left her feet. She jumped in for a knee and Ronda simply side stepped it. NEVER jump into a good wrestler, grappler or judo specialist. That was definitely sad. Huge training camp, the hype only to be over in 14 seconds. FUN FACT: During the PPV I think Mike Goldberg said Ronda's combined time in all 10 of her fights was 24 minutes and something seconds.... If you add the Cat Zingano fight to that total, which I think still keeps it under 25 mins. You can watch all of Ronda's career matches in the time it takes to watch GSP defend his belt once.

Mar 1, 2015 Yeah, people after the fight were just like "oh wow she got another arm bar, how boring" but that wasn't your traditional arm bar lol. Ronda even said after the match that she's never done an arm bar like that before that she kinda just improvised. Rousey vs Cyborg needs to happen at this point tbh. Cyborg needs that fight, after getting caught taking performance enhancement drugs, she can prove that the drugs don't matter, that she's still the best if she can beat Rousey. Rousey can pretty much solidify her legacy with a win over Cyborg.
Mar 1, 2015 Ronda has had, what, four fights go over a minute? That's Wilt Chamberlainesque dominance. It's pretty clear that her competition is still a decade behind her. I didn't mean that she's a can crusher. I mean that we'll never be able to contextualize how good she is with her division still in it's infancy and women's MMA being such a niche sport.
Mar 1, 2015 Pretty disappointed in the M.E. i thought Cat would make it a lot more competitive. Also wasnt super impressed by Holly Holm, shes gonna need a couple more wins to get to Rhonda.
