Was hoping for a bit of a longer war. But still satisfied, what a fight. Didn't expect Robbie to be put out like that after surviving the Rory fight.

f--- Woodley has come a long way since being wrecked by Marquardt, neutralized by Shields, refusing to throw against Rory and being straight up shook of Hector Lombard.

Wasn't sure what to expect from him after the long lay off, but that was more of the 1st round against Condit then the meh performance against Kelvin.

Still think Wonderboy kicks his head off.

Ideally but that card is barely 2 months off so might be too soon. JJ wants on the MSG card so i guess it could happen there, but probably not good enough to co main that card.

I give him a better shot against Wonderboy than I would Lawler. Thompson has been rocked before and Woodley only needs one shot.

He tweeted a blush emoji after Thompson wrecked Hendricks. I think he's shook.

    Brown-Ellenberger
I really didn't think Ellenberger had a shot all week until he stepped in the cage. Dude looked in great shape and Rogan said he switched to King's. I thought he was still training with Edmund. Glad he got a win. He had a hard slide. Would be nice to see him have a career resurgence.

    Rose-Karolina
I said Karolina early on, but then heard a lot of people bring up Rose's grappling. I kind of wavered here too. They both actually looked better than ever. Rose's striking was very sharp even if she couldn't always get into range. Kept landing that overhand right reliably. Karolina's grappling improved immensely. I honestly think the fight was lost in those 3 minutes Rose spent in the clinch against the fence looking for a takedown that never came. That's when she started getting eaten up with knees and elbows. I still think JJ is on a different level. Especially over the course of 5 rounds where her cardio just blows people out like Mighty Mouse's.

    Woodley-Lawler
I showed my brother Lawler-MacDonald to get him hyped for tonight and thought maybe my prediction was bunk. It seemed like an almost obvious upset even though it went against most logic when you broke the fight down tactically. You could just tell Lawler was ready to go at any time after his career of being a meathead. It's like when you can't open a pickle jar so you hand it to your girlfriend and she gets it on the first try. Not to mention Lawler's physique looked completely different (cough cough USADA cough cough). He almost looked sickly. Glad Woodley finally dethroned him cleanly enough to not need the judges. It's really easy to look at Woodley and pick apart his resume, but he's probably the hardest puncher in the division at a time when the UFC is constantly being turned upside down by crazy knockouts. Wonderboy is the best striker in the UFC for my money, but his chin is questionable. Ellenberger put him on his a---. Woodley could put him to sleep. The best thing about this upset is that Lawler-Diaz II is a very logical matchup now.

So after tonight, UFC 197 is the only PPV all year that didn't have some sort of big upset / shocking ending (in the Co or main event at least)

From a match up sense its logical. Who knows where Nick's head is at though. I do know hes gonna be wanting a similar payday to what he got for the GSP/Silva fights, hes gonna want PPV Points and i dunno if a Robbie rematch is the type of fight that gets him that. Maybe if they put the fight on the MSG card under McGregor/Aldo 2 or something.

Hopefully the new ownership group can have a better working relationship with both Diaz brothers, because win or lose Nate isn't gonna be wanting to take a pay cut next either. His initial stance after the first McGregor fight was basically "I beat the biggest draw in the UFC, so now I'm the biggest draw" I'm sure the UFC talked him down from that, but still. If this were the Ferttitas/Dana sitting at the helm, i would have said there is about a 75% chance Nate never fights again after the rematch win or lose.

Tbh, I'm sick of diva s---. I hope the new ownership puts all of these f---s in their place so we can see top contenders fight champs like a real sport. Woodley went straight to the Floyd playbook tonight. If we see Henderson-Bisping, Alvarez-McGregor, and Woodley-Diaz in the next 12 months I'm going to start watching golf or some s---. Wanting fighters to get paid is one thing, but wanting this sport to turn into the s--- show that is boxing is another. @redsoxx

Really enjoyed the show last night, I liked it more than 200 actually. Ended up spending even more at the bar than I would have had I just bought the PPV at home, but oh well it was fun lol.

Glad Woodley won, I was pulling for him. Thought the card top to bottom was pretty solid.
