If Conor loses he will just go back down to his normal weight where he is the champ. No big deal

I like Larkin, but he's really become a gatekeeper. If you're any good, you should beat him and Magny has already proven himself enough for me to be confident in picking him.

    Magny-Larkin

I'm still not sold on Garbrandt. His hype has been completely manufactured. Rogan can talk up his boxing all he wants during his fights, I'm not buying it. Brimage was outstriking him, he's got s--- head movement, he let's being macho bait him into getting hit, his best win was against Almeida who was equally unproven. Mizugaki is much like Larkin in that he's a gatekeeper at this point and if you're any good you should beat him. Garbrandt could TKO him if Cruz did, but I don't think it's stretch to take the underdog in this one.

    Garbrandt-Mizugaki

A guy known for body shot versus a guy known for wilting from body shots. Cerrone looked better than ever versus Cote, partly from maybe Cote's damage catching up with him, but mainly because Brandon Gibson over at Jackson-Wink has him planting his feet and hurting people. I don't know if he can put Story away, and if he can't he might have some problems.

    Story-Cerrone

This is a tough pick when you consider Rumble's power in the opening rounds, but once again I'm going to have to side with a more complete fighter. Glover is smart enough to back Rumble up so he can't fight at the space he likes to explode forward from. He's also got a distinct grappling advantage if he can get him down and those exchanges tend to sap up explosive fighter's gas tanks pretty quickly. See: Hector Lombard

    Rumble-Glover

For the third time tonight, I'm siding with the more complete fighter over the puncher. Conor has to put him away. We've heard all kinds of things about him switching up his nutrition, training partners, etc but I don't think that's going to be enough in 5 months to allow him to beat somebody designed to negate his advantages. Conor's game at 145 was based around the fact he looked a weight class bigger than everybody (more so now when I rewatch them than I thought back then) and could fight long and tall, explode early, and put little guys away. Nate has a great chin, fighters longer and taller, and should win this fight again.

    Diaz-McGregor

He'll be fine in the long run but I definitely think he'll lose some steam short term. Depends how he goes down as well.

    Magny/Larkin
Got Magny over Larkin. By decision. He's the more complete fighter, very durable, and is on a roll. I don't see Larkin being the guy to derail his hype train. Might have him in some trouble at some point, but again Magny has proven himself to be a very durable guy.

    Garbrandt/Mizugaki

Garbrandt by KO in the first or second. Cody is the more athletic guy who also has the speed advantage. He obviously has the power to KO Mizugaki. Mizugaki isn't the hardest to hit or most evasive fighter either so I can see Cody landing and finishing the fight.

    Cerrone/Story

Tough match up for Cerrone. I can see Rick Story grinding out a decision by fighting aggressively and pushing Cerrone up against the cage and securing a takedown every now and again.. Good point about the body shots @Charlie ... could be a real problem for Cerrone if he manages to press him up against the cage and rip em like he has in the past.

    Rumble/Glover

I got Rumble by KO in the first or second. I don't think Glover will be able to take him down and I think Rumble will eventually get the knockout as a result. However if Glover can get him down and he's still in the fight like mid way through the second the obvious pick is Glover. Likely by submission. Don't think that's gonna happen tho and Rumble gets him out there early. This fight's a tough one to call tho as it could go many different ways... Glover can obviously get the KO too.

    Diaz/Conor

Another fight I can envision playing out in many ways. Nothing would shock me other than a Conor submission haha. I've got Diaz by sub in the fourth tho. I feel like if Conor can't get him out of there inside about 3, it's only a matter of time before there's a momentum shift and Diaz has him in trouble on the feet. I feel like it'll eventually go to the ground and Diaz will get the sub (likely cause Conor shoots and gets stuffed again). You're not gonna strike with the durable cardio machine that is Diaz for 5 rounds and not eventually get hurt imo. However, it's a different story if Conor fights at a slower pace and uses a lot of leg kicks on the outside.

Fight Pass Prelims start in 10 mins, FS1 Prelims start at 8 ET and then the PPV at 10. If anyone isn't on the Mention list that wants on it lmk. Would be cool if i could just type in @MMAsxn like in the NFL threads and everyone gets mentioned but i have no idea how that s--- works. Charlie posted a couple links above, but if you have a good one just share it.

Hey guys quick question, I'm on holidays so I can't really research it myself without difficulty.

Apparently Connor was tested positive for some "performance enhancing" drug that isn't banned in the UFC, but will be next year.
(What I read about it just seemed like they were talking s--- to try and promote their product. )

Anyone know if there's any legitimacy to this?

Don't see any legiti MMA sites talking about it and those vultures would be all over it if there was even a shred of credibility to the story.

Added a poll that'll expire in 3 hours. I got Diaz. Conor's gonna have to catch him really flush or grind it out for the decision if he wants to win.

I dunno, if he keeps the pressure up and lands keeps landing the heavy shots throughout the fight I can see a round 4 or 5 TKO.

If he keeps chipping away at the jaw it'll have to give in eventually.

That Ad happens ALL THE TIME. Then at the bottom it tells you you can order a bottle and has a bunch of people confirming it's effects right? Saw this for The Rock, Michael Phelps, Mark Wahlberg. It's a bs ad for you to buy the product. Don't listen to it.
