Passing of the torch. I see Max having more trouble with Edgar than Aldo did. Styles make fights and Aldo had no trouble with wrestlers, but Max's length and more educated pressure overcame his counterpunching style. Should've went with more leg kicks to the lead, but fighting wrestlers really dissuaded him from being the muay thai fighter that he once was. Anyways, sucks that however well both of these guys perform, Conor can just say he beat them both and reap the benefits for himself despite the circumstances of those victories. I mean, after tonight it's pretty clear Conor would've diced Aldo up eventually imo, but Max was only a kid at the time. He'd offer him a lot of the same problems that Nate Diaz did. Conor is never dropping to 145 again though. h---, he might not fight MMA again.

Great fight, I thought Aldo had Holloway on the ropes in that first round but Max started to take over in the 2nd. Been an Aldo fan since the early WEC days, but hes just been far too inactive ever since the first Mendes fight. Holloway on the other hand was like the FW Cerrone with how active he was, they scaled him back once he got to the top of the food chain and there wasn't really anyone left to fight but It'll be good to have the FW belt defended at least a couple times a year instead of every 9-10 months.

Holloway vs Edgar at MSG in November will probably be his next fight. Its too bad Korean Zombie is out a while because Max has already beaten Cub and Lamas and Mendes won't be back until next June.

Claudia was also very impressive tonight, should probably fight Andrade next. Either she fights girls JJ has already picked off or girls way down in the rankings that won't sniff a title shot. Don't want her knocking off the legitimate future challengers.

It'd be cool to hold Holloway vs Edgar in Hawaii, but I agree with @redsoxx that it'll probably take at MSG in November. Great performance from him though, he looked good in round 1 even though he lost and I had him winning round 2 (though it was close and you could've called it either way)

Great fight, Holloway is a bad MFer! Cub deserves the title shot more than Edgar I'd say, also if the Mayweather fight happens soon it'll be at 147lbs so McGregor could be FW ready for the end of the year.
