Labour was never high on my list to vote. Ed isn't strong enough to sort out the UK. In all seriousness he could make things worse.

I admit labour's stance on economy is dodgy but they are the best of a bad bunch

I don't understand how people seriously believe that Cameron and his other Etonite toff friends have any real concern about the 'working' people of Britain. They come from a background that expects to gain power and have no real concern for anyone apart from their rich buddies in government and business.

Vote UKIP, seriously? Is it a protest vote or do you genuinely agree with their policies?

UKIP is on the rise mate, don't fall victim to media propaganda thinking they are racist or whatever. Admittedly they do focus alot on immigration but for a good cause, they are the best party to vote for and most sensible, that's what you want, a 'sensible ' party that cuts all that bs we are fed daily. We need to regain control, and ukip seem to me the party that can do that.

lol if people believe labour are gonna reduce university fees and nothing is gonna change. Nick clegg promised to reduce them and instead doubled them to 9k, yeah okay, things are gonna be different this time. Where are they gonna get the money to fill these empty promises they make?

    Reasons ukip are alright...

Those wishing to permanently settle in the UK must financially support themselves and their dependents for 5 years. This means private health insurance (except emergency medical care), private education and housing. You pay into the pot before you take out of the pot.
    • Bring in a points based visa system and time limited work permits.
    • Make sentences mean what they say – life must mean life.
    • No votes for prisoners.
    • Ensure GPs surgeries open in the evening for full-time workers, where there is demand.
    • Ensure that benefits are only available for those who have lived here for over 5 years. Make welfare a safety net for the needy, not a bed for the lazy.

    3. UKIP would introduce a five year freeze on immigration for permanent settlement (with some exceptions) until we regain control of our borders, put in effective immigration controls, and deal with the issue of illegal immigrants. Overstaying a visa would become a criminal offence.

    4. Any future immigration for permanent settlement must be on a strictly limited and controlled basis where that can clearly be shown to benefit the British people as a whole and our economy. Immigrants would not be able to apply for public housing or benefits until they had paid tax for five years.

    5. Meanwhile UKIP would enable people to come and work in the UK by means of a points based work permit system for limited periods of time and to fulfil specific gaps in the job market that cannot be filled by the existing work force.

    6. Measures would be taken to identify illegal immigrants and remove them to their country of origin. Exceptions may be made in limited circumstances, but there would be no general amnesty for illegal migrants.
This is a major piss take of the current government. If an illegal immigrant is found working they get a slap on the wrist and told to register as an illegal in a week. If they don't? Fukk all happens.

I agree that main-stream politics is stale and is mostly just bs and UKIP seem to be a fairly honest alternative that have members that genuinely care about the country. However I consider myself fairly Left-wing and so most of their policies I disagree with fundamentaly. They seem to be trying to set the country back 30 years, and a lot of their policies are just archaic, like:

    1. Allow secondary schools to become grammar schools

    2. Repeal the Climate Change Act 2008

    3. Ukip will cut the foreign aid budget by £9bn a year, prioritising disaster relief and schemes which provide water and inoculation against preventable diseases.

    4. The smoking ban in pubs and clubs will be amended to give them “the choice to open smoking rooms properly ventilated and separated from non-smoking areas”.

    5. Ukip will take Britain out of the EU and save at least £8billion a year in net contributions.

I think that prison sentences right now are fine and am a huge believer in rehabilitation and not retribution.

I can't be arsed to go into specifics but I don't think England is full and countries have adapted well to large population increases and I am certain the UK can handle a lot more than now.

I agree that there are some problems with the immigration system at the moment and the friction it causes within the country. However I think the whole issue is ridiculously overblown, especially the 'they come over and just claim benefits' stance, most immigrants are the most hard working and the ones who go on benefit cost very very little to the UK.

Also England is an ageing population, without immigration the population will decline and the country would face a lot of more serious problems like Japan, Immigration is the fuel that can will keep Britain alive and great into the future (We already rely hugely on foreign nurses).

I don't believe that Britain should be only for the British, we pillaged 90% of the world for our own benefit and we have been living with the riches ever since. Why on Earth should we be refusing people a better life who try to seek it?

Obviously I don't have real statistics or evidence but this is just what I believe.

Finally I think Great Britain is the greatest and although there are a few minor problems we're doing f---ing amazingly and I am sick and tired of the whole we need to 'fix' the UK etc.

I just cringe at the idea of ed milliband running our country. If the SNP get involved, she'll be telling milliband what to do and he'll do it.

Saying that, I'm not sure about the tories either... Im so on the fence.

I've never liked Labour, but the fact they are planning to raise the minimum wage straight to £8 an hour is more than enough for anyone with common sense not to vote them. Small businesses will close as they wont be able to afford to pay staff, big businesses will lay off many employees to cut their wage bills, meaning higher unemployment, so our GDP will fall more will be spent on benefits so more money will be borrowed to cover it and on top of that, inflation will increase due to those with jobs being able to afford more. After all this has happened the value of the GBP will decrease leaving our country in a terrible position.
